Getting Dual to guess the word 'avatar'. Still proud of this one.

Well, today’s the first day I didn’t get it and that’s me done until tomorrow.

Struggling today. Only two more guesses and I only have the first and last letter.

Got it with the final guess, that was scary!

Not sure why my brain struggled to think of that one.

Also got it on the last guess. That took me nearly 20 minutes, just couldn't see any viable words from the letters I had left.

Strawberry-float! Got it on the last go.

I screwed up because (a) I'm colour-blind and thought I'd had letters in the right place when they weren't (I turned on colour-blind mode after the fourth go!) and (b) I didn't know that duplicate letters were allowed!

5 for me. Tough one today, but at least it was spelled correctly!

I saw the chat in the Annoy thread, and thought I'd at least check what this was about, so went and downloaded the first app in the Google Play store called wordle, and it was some wordsearch block clearing game, so no wonder I was confused with all the other chat about this in there. :lol:

Thanks for the link, given the proper version a go. Seems OK, but annoying that it's only one puzzle a day and you only get one go. Failed my first one yesterday, then couldn't do any more to practice and try out. Today's is also hard.

There’s also Wordle unlimited online for if you want to keep going.

4/6 for me today and although it's not as bullshit as yesterday's, I think having a double letter still registers pretty high on the bullshit scale.

Got today in 4. That's me 2/2 so far, with both on four guesses. I think that's because I have a natural talent for words. Indeed, I use them almost every day and have done for quite some time now.

I’ve been trying to think of a fair way the game could tell you that that’s the case but I’m struggling to come up with one that doesn’t make it too easy.

4 for me as I wasn't expecting duplicate letters. I think just having a note in the explanation of how to play that you should still keep duplicates in mind after a letter is green would help.

Yesterday was also a 4 but I managed 3 the day before. I didn't like that the American spelling was used yesterday.

Finally got it, attempt 6.

I may be slow, but i get there in the end.

My guesses for today went:

Having the E in there from the start left me fixated on the last 3 letters. “What could this possibly end with?”. Ended up wasting guesses 4 and 5 to just try eke more letters out of it and the answer was probably the only viable word left from the letters by my final “guess”, which was just me giving up and wanting to know the answer.

Got it on 4/6. Definitely a bit tougher today.

I've done 2 guesses so far, I've got 2 letters (both vowels) and I can't even think of any other words that I can spell with these two letters in that position. God I'm dumb.

Got it on my 4th line today. I surprised myself!

My colourblindness screwed me over yesterday. I knew there was a colourblind mode but I don't like that blue = wrong place and orange = correct... In my head they should be the other way around. I decided that since I can easily see the difference between the yellow and green when they're side by side so I'd stick with normal mode. It turns out when I only have yellows it's easy to see them as green :fp:
