I also was not 'actively looking' I read Football 365 that had the Sun front page and I follow BBC Sport on twitter. I enjoy when England fail because the fallout can be EPIC, if England do well and still go out then it's not as much fun, that's all.

I assume they were all singing loud and proud? I think this is the problem with the England national anthem. It really doesn't seem like a song about England, and is more about a bloody figurehead. I just don't see how any of the players can get pumped up singing it. Compared to say...the Italy anthem :wub:

Yeah they were.

It's their first ever World cup, which probably helps the enthusiasm.
