I was 18 and it’s strawberry floating scary to think that there will soon be people in their 20s who were not even born when Scotland last played at a tournament.

Bantz™ about Scotland being shite are all well and good, but can we please get an answer on the important question as to whether Joe Hart is going or not?

It's hardly surprising though when you consider that there's only one professional team in the SPL.

All joking aside, I've always maintained that viewpoint to be pretty offensive to the several dozen other professional teams in Scotland - they might not be very competitive but they're all involved - Hibs and Hamilton particularly have fantastic youth set ups that bigger teams like to steal players from can only benefit the entire game in Scotland going forward.

England play Panama on my birthday, which is my 30th. C'mon lucky day!

Mon the Accies!

My home town team.

But yeah, for all that Celtic utterly dominate the game up here, there are plenty of solid smaller teams.

Not sure who I'll be supporting through the World Cup this year. Usually pick a team or two and cheer them on.

Glad there's a thread for this! Gives me enough time to comb through my post history and erase any overly confident and soon-to-be-mocked predictions of us making it to the latter stages.

And then there are the sleeping giants like dunfermline athletic whom the great sir Alex Ferguson once scored many goals for,not that I'm biased or anything.

Come on the pars, come on Scotland, get it right up ye England.

Jake Livermore apparently is in. :?

No Gary Cahill either. Danny Welbeck somehow makes it.

Nice to see Loftus Cheek included though.

No Hart, Cahill or Wilshere? Gazza must have read my lengthy email.

Think it's worth putting some money on France to win?

Not sure with Deschamps.

They have a lot of good attackers in Mbappe, Dembele, Coman, Fekir and Griezmann. Martial doesn’t look like he’d be making it. But Deschamps has a obsession with starting Giroud. Who for me and stats would prove is better coming off the bench.

I’d say the Germans are my favourites. Brazil are second, France are third and Spain just behind them.

It’s a difficult World Cup to call.

The team for me that could be dangerous if it clicks is Belgium. They have 3 of the best centre backs in the tournament with a strong goalkeeper behind them. Then you have Hazard and De Bruyne who with just one moment can change a game. I was disappointed with them last World Cup and Euros. Martinez is obviously going to be a lot more attack minded than their previous manager.

Argentina have a whole host of big name attackers. But that defence and midfield looks average compared to other teams.

I just hope the group stages are as good as Brazil 2014. Obviously teams tend to get cautious during the knock outs and sometimes the games tend to be boring.

Pathetic by Hart to blame Moyes. I don’t like Moyes. But if Hart wants to blame anybody then it should be himself. He was terrible in Italy last year. Terrible for West Ham this season.

Why should Moyes start him in the final three games? Not like he’s gonna be there at West Ham next season. They also obviously won’t be stupid to sign him next season.

Best decision not to take him. He’s not a team player. He’d probably be sat on the bench smiling whenever England concede a goal.
