I've just been driving home from a friend's for half an hour and had TalkSport on. The two hosts were discussing the match tomorrow and England's prospects in the tournament. strawberry floating hell, literally everything I cannot stand about football fans. Insulting callers who weren't displaying PASHUN or being stupidly optimistic about absolutely smashing Panama tomorrow, just absolutely cringeworthy.

There is a lot of overrating going on about our performance against Tunisia. First half was very good. But the second half was really flat. Belgium dismantled them with ease. I was surprised by them as I was expecting Africas best ranked team to be better.

We been lucky that this is one of the most easiest groups and the fixture list worked in our favour by playing Belgium last. Play Belgium first and lose then the pressure is really on as you saw with Germany, Spain or Brazil when teams don’t win their first games.

In defense of England, Tunisia totally changed how they played once nabbing their equaliser. They came out trying to win the game at the start which is why Lingard and Alli were able to find space so often. Then Tunisia bought a penalty and decided to sit back and try to frustrate England for an hour (which worked well).

In today's game they came out and actually tried to beat Belgium, which is why Lukaku and Hazard routinely exploited acres of space all match and bagged a brace each.

Tunisia pretty much put ten men behind the ball. I was actually impressed with England TBH, and I think its a bit revisionist to suggest 'ah well it was only Tunisia'. Loads of teams didn't get the results they wanted in Game 1 and England did, give them some credit. They absolutely dominated that game, albeit in a way very different to Belgium. Do I think they are better than Belgium? No...but I do think they have a decent chance of topping the group.

The worst thing about England in the second half was that at times they reminded me of watching Arsenal trying to force a result by having every attacking player sit wth the defence and expecting the defenders or defensive midfielder to be play makers. I totally agree though that if that penalty hadn't been given or Lingard and Sterling weren't useless, Tunisia wouldn't have parked the bus and it would have been a totally different game.

Based on the evidence so far they been one of the worst teams at this World Cup.

You can say Germany, Argentina or Brazil didnt get the results they wanted. But teams like Mexico, Switzerland, Iceland and Croatia have shown a lot more than Tunisia have in this tournament. Granted Iceland lost the last match, but they would have given us a lot more problems than Tunisia and they seem to do better when the onus isn’t on them to win. Even Australia and Peru have shown more quality. Morocco were unlucky in both of their games. Iran aren’t a easy side to play against as proven against Spain and still have a fighting chance in the final game.

Tunisia currently are the worst team after Saudi Arabia based on performances. All the above teams played top teams and kept the scores respectable. Australia conceded a dodgy pen to France. Iran conceded a fluke goal to Spain. Brazil scoring in extra time and yesterday we saw with Germany.

We dominated the first half. But the second half we didn’t do a lot.

It’s easy saying at 1-0 down they need to push up. They really didn’t. They could have kept things tight and attacked later on in the game. But yesterday Belgium should have had 10. The issue with Tunisia is that they don’t know how to defend. They couldn’t even defend a single corner against England without resorting to cheating tactics.

It's not revisionist, people said that before, during and immediately after the game.

I don't think it's particularly fair trying to compare two performances when in one a team was trying to win and in the other the team was trying to avoid losing. If the fixtures had been reversed, we'd have played an attacking-minded Tunisia yesterday and would have exploited some of the space Belgium found. Hopefully Panama will come out swinging today instead of sitting back.

Since a draw would give them a decent chance of qualifying, I find that pretty unlikely.

England will do poorly today. 1-1 draw my prediction at best. Theres no creativity or match winners in this England Squad. Kane wont score again for this tournament. Lingard and Sterling are two lightweight little kids. Alli isnt fit. There are no leaders in defense.

I think we will see a energetic England today on a high after the Tunisia game and wanting a result before the Belgium game, I will predict 4-0
