Loads of teams didn't get the results they wanted in Game 1 and England did, give them some credit. They absolutely dominated that game, albeit in a way very different to Belgium. Do I think they are better than Belgium? No...but I do think they have a decent chance of topping the group.
Based on the evidence so far they been one of the worst teams at this World Cup.
You can say Germany, Argentina or Brazil didnt get the results they wanted. But teams like Mexico, Switzerland, Iceland and Croatia have shown a lot more than Tunisia have in this tournament. Granted Iceland lost the last match, but they would have given us a lot more problems than Tunisia and they seem to do better when the onus isn’t on them to win. Even Australia and Peru have shown more quality. Morocco were unlucky in both of their games. Iran aren’t a easy side to play against as proven against Spain and still have a fighting chance in the final game.
Tunisia currently are the worst team after Saudi Arabia based on performances. All the above teams played top teams and kept the scores respectable. Australia conceded a dodgy pen to France. Iran conceded a fluke goal to Spain. Brazil scoring in extra time and yesterday we saw with Germany.
We dominated the first half. But the second half we didn’t do a lot.
It’s easy saying at 1-0 down they need to push up. They really didn’t. They could have kept things tight and attacked later on in the game. But yesterday Belgium should have had 10. The issue with Tunisia is that they don’t know how to defend. They couldn’t even defend a single corner against England without resorting to cheating tactics.
