One's red and the other's yellow.

The amount of time that players swarmed all over the linesman or ref, pleading for a goal to chalked off, and invisible card waving... why? All that time wasted for naught.

Was it the Brazil v Portugal game where the ref immediately booked somebody for doing the card waving thing? I thought that was great.

I thought Howard Webb had a good game.

On a ligher note, I remembered that Gazza picked up a yellow card that the ref dropped.

He rushed over to the ref and held the card high up. The ref, took the card back and promptly booked him.

I can't see Beckham playing for England again. But then he's never came out and annouced his retirement from International Football. Maybe he doesn't need to.

I can see him in a coaching capacity, though.

You can't really expect much more when almost every team they played well and truly parked the bus.

And I disagree that they were boring in any case.

I don't remember this at all. Was he actually booked for showing the ref the card or was he going to get booked anyway? if he was booked for that, then that ref is a complete twat.

Haven't been on to post this, but Spain 8-)

Really shouldn't have removed my avatar of Spain and Xavi before the tournament

Still, the final was how I expected it to play out, a tight game with lots of fouls. Two very nervous sides with players who are dirty and who also exaggerate a fair bit when they are fouled. I felt for Howard Webb, but he also wasn't consistent, his refusal to book Robben for kicking the ball away, but then booking Xavi for the same thing a few minutes later was baffling. Still delighted that Spain won, they're a side I always enjoy to watch and they have so many brilliant players. Shame it's all over, still only another 4 years before it begins again.

Not really, it's disrespect shown to the referee.

Victory parade was on Eurosport about 10 minutes ago, I think they've lost their feed and are just recycling footage. Pique is pissed off his face
