I’ll happily eat most biscuits, as long as they’re devoid of any dark chocolate (although weirdly enough I don’t mind the odd After Eight but I don’t know if that’s a biscuit or not, probably not), chocolate hob nob is the holy grail of biscuits.

I don't think I've ever encountered an outright bad biscuit, Rich Tea are certainly at the bottom of the scale though. They are the sort of thing I'd probably eat if somebody offered me one but I wouldn't ever buy them myself.

The ones you get in round tins which you have to break into slices (like a piza) are sublime. When I was a kid my grandad used to have a yearly holiday in Scotland and would usually come back with a couple of tins of shortbread and some Edinburgh rock for us.

Party Rings are great for nostalgic reasons alone. Whoever disrespected ginger biscuits is about right though.

How the hell do you manage to dunk Rich Tea biscuits in tea?! They're a one dip max biscuit (unless you want one sunk at the bottom of your mug). Hobnobs are legendary though.

They only need the one dunk. So do Hobnobs. Hobnobs are horrible if you get it wrong and find great oaty lumps bobbing around in your coffee.

Yeah I have fond memories of Party Rings but the reality is that they were pretty crap taste wise. Not on Rich Tea levels of awful but still a bit bland.

Standard plain Digestives are probably the worst, but only because they're the least exciting. I don't think there are truly terrible biscuits out there, it's just not in their nature.

Bourbons on the other hand, yuck.

Rich Tea are decent if you want a biscuit that isn't full of fat, but Bourbons are amazing, take it back you swine!

Maybe but pair it with a slice of cheese and it becomes godly.

I’m struggling to think of any biscuits I don’t like.

I did try a Digestive Twist last week, it was chocolate chip and caramel and was very disappointing. Tasted like it was slightly burnt. So that gets my vote.

:x Rich Tea Biscuits are strawberry floating vile. Even just holding them feels odd... like they're coated in a awful biscuity veneer or something. :dread:

 I strawberry floating hate biscuit threads. They always put me in mind for them even though I'm someone who can go weeks without scoffing a single one. This thread is the work of the devil!

What's to like about them, they are so bland - it's like eating cardboard!

They may be a bit bland if eaten dry, but after dunking they are heavenly.

Jenuall wrote:A Rich Tea can barely survive contact with air so I can't believe it holds up as a dunking biscuit.

Clearly you lack any kind of dunking skills, if you were at dunking school you'd be made to stand in the corner wearing a pointy hat with a big D on it.

Jenuall wrote:I don't drink tea so all my preferences are based on the biscuit being eaten in isolation!

Well there you go, you're clearly not eating them properly, which renders your opinion invalid. ;) :toot:

Qikz wrote:Bourbons are amazing, take it back you swine!

Not a chance. 8-)

On a separate note, i've also become rather fond of fig rolls lately.

They're made for munching not dunking! They're one of the few sweet things I enjoyed as a child which I still cannot get enough of as an adult. When I allow myself to have them.
