I think it has to go to E.T., not just for being a massive commercial failure and being critically panned, but for also taking the whole US gaming industry with it

It may have had a pants launch but it turned into one of the greatest driving games of all time and for me is still the best multiplayer driving game ever.

I would say No Man Sky, so many people rushed out to get it and then when they finally played it was load of old tosh and it constantly kept crashing, then Hello Games went into hiding.
But to give them credit they have improved the game with substantial free updates, but first impressions count.

That's just a delayed launch, not a bad launch though. They completely changed the style of the game from open world to more linear and it ended working pretty well to be fair to them, even if it had its' flaws.

Remedy's best game. I'm praying for it to be X1X enhanced.

A launch so bad, 700,000 copies of the game had to be buried in a landfill in New Mexico.

Whilst it was a poor launch, it is not in the same league as most of the games mentioned
Rise of the Robots really should take center stage, it was so Hyped up, there were tons of previews in magazines, and I swear a whole episode of something like Bad Influence talking it up before its launch. I mean Fallout 76 people had been down on it since it was announced, but RotR was being promoted as basically a next gen leap in gaming
