It's quite difficult to say what should make something be defined as the 'worst'. Is it the sheer technical amateurishness? Bad acting? A comedy that provides no laughs? Something that's supposed to be serious but is, instead, unintentionally funny?

Personally, for me the most unforgivable sin for a film to commit is to be boring, and with that in mind the two films in recent(ish) years that I've seen in the cinema that resulted in me wanting to saw off my own head due to pure tedium were:

The Dark Knight Rises - an absolutely turgid, bloated, awful mess of a film. Watching it felt like an eternity. And I say that as someone who thought the other two Nolan Batman films were OK.

The New World - by Christ, how can something that looks so beautiful for most of its running time be so soul-crushingly dull?

The Hole or The Cave, I think it’s something like that.

She has no tits though so it’s pointless.

Exactly the film is a failure is so many ways.

I just checked and it is called The Hole.

She was only 15 at the time, so that might help you with the danger wank.

The Cave was a The Descent Rip off, good cast and one good death. The Hole was terrible.

Just remembered Lucy,. Unwatchable gooseberry fool. Turned off during the last action scene as I didn't even care to see how it ended.

I’d agree that pretty much every found footage movie that followed Blair Witch is a turd but the original Blair Witch itself is amazing. I must have watched it 100 times and on every repeat viewing I find something new in it. In my all time top ten...you pays yer money etc etc...

I quite liked it although the ending did borrow heavily from Akira in some aspects.

In fairness though it stars Scarlett Johansson, which might have clouded my judgment somewhat.

As I said, Meet the Spartans is a god awful film.

My then ex-wife had it on DVD. Sufficient to say that I snapped the disc and binned it, took the rubbish out and not once she has looked or asked for it. Wish I didn't bother now.

Imagine thinking The Last Jedi was the worst Star Wars film, never mind the worst film ever made. Mental.

The Last Jedi was not a bad film, in fact, it was pretty decent and i really don't get why people are always getting their knickers in a twist over it.

That said, when it comes to Star Wars films, if the makers play it safe (Force Awakens), they're given stick for being too safe, and if they try something different (Last Jedi), then that's also wrong.

They're damned if they do and damned if they don't.

There was nothing wrong with the last Jedi doing something different - the problem was it was badly directed and the performances were crap because of it. Rey in particular just turned in to a shouting exposition machine.

MASTER SKYWALKER WHAT IS THE PLOT AGAIN?

I've watched all ninety minutes of the full film twice. It's absolutely abysmal.
