Obviously this was a mistake as the £370 was never my money to begin with and I assumed they'd realise their mistake and ask for it back - 8 months later and it would seem that they haven't noticed and I've basically got £370 for nothing.
Was working at the DWP once and they over payed me by £1000. Unfortunately they noticed, but due to various reasonings I was allowed to pay it back at a fiver a month. Best loan ever.

Just remembered an ebuyer incident. Ordered a glass TV stand and it arrived with parts missing so was returned. The replacement came with broken glass and was returned. The orders had different numbers so when I did the online return, I managed to get a double refund (i.e. ended with £90 profit). Like to think that was for my inconvenience and in no way did I defraud them.

I took some emergency unpaid leave back in February but work didn't dock my pay for it. I assumed they just weren't going to notice and said nothing about it... they have just realised it today and I'm finally getting charged for it.

I'm still paying £5 a month from having too much disability benefit paid to me for several years - they make you feel like you're been defrauding them even though its entirely their fault.

A few years ago our holiday system strawberry floated up sbd didn’t count a days leave that I’d had. I never said anything and had an extra days holiday that year.

Noticed today that the overtime/owed hours I have is around an hour higher on the work's records versus what I've noted down for myself. Definitely going to be keeping that hush given how work take as many liberties as possible when it suits. Shame that it was only an hour difference...

Ive been overpaid before but it was a little bit over 2 years which added up to £900 and had to pay it back over 5 months even though it was their fault

Oh I once told Play that an online order never arrived, I lied, and I got a full £40 refund.

My partner got overpaid too and had to pay it back over time.
If a business just sends you money by mistake then, I'm not sure there's much they can do about that, they've just voluntary paid you money directly into your account so, erm, honestly I'm not sure what legal recourse they could take to recover it.

GAME once sent me two copies of TLoZ: Twilight Princess (Gamecube version) but only charged me for one, the extra copy was sold a few months later for £60.

Well you're lucky they sent you anything at all, normally the reverse happens, you order one copy and you get charged for 100.

Nicking Matchbox cars at the local Asda. If the security guard was near the doors i would ask if them if they could mind my bike for a few mins while i went in got the cars i wanted then leave with them in my pockets worked never got caught lol

There was a garage near us that we used to pop into sometimes. We became friendly with the girl who was working there on an evening and she used to let us take anything we wanted. Porn mags (this was a long time ago!) was the main thing we would snaffle, with her full blessing.
She was an odd girl though. She wanted to become a funeral director and used to be in there reading magazines on funeral directing and would chat about embalming and using make up on bodies. I think we all expected her to be a serial killer that was plotting to kill us all. On the plus side though, free porn long before any of us had the internet.
