A nice simple topic here.

Just name the worst game you've played recently.
I wont bother explaining my choice as I've said how much the game disappointed me before.

The one, the only Battlefield 2042.
It's so gooseberry fool I deleted it even though I paid full price for the digital version on launch.

So, lets here the rollcall of shite.

My biggest disappointment in recent times was Game Builder Garage on Switch; and that's more on my own expectations and lack of trying the demo rather than on the game/utility itself being bad. But, yeah, for me it was a waste of money.

The Avengers, built like a store and plays like a game from 10 yeara ago. It's just so annoying fighting a million robots or a standard aim soldier that Hulk needs to punch 10 times to kill.

Or

Rage 2 - forgettable and annoying. Travel 20 mins to get some action... 5 minutes later it's all over and off we go again for another wander to find something resembling fun.

Honourable mention.... Watch Dogs Legion, almost every mission and problem can be beaten by using a work man and climbing on his flying cargo drone. Also the AI voices makes everyone sound like a racist character in Little Britain.

Wish my image sig would work

I won't have this Watch Dogs Legion slander.

How many other games give you the experience of breaking into the tower of London as a cockney Grandma hacker?

Avengers falls into this category for me, started off so well and then once the gear and GaaS elements showed up the game just shat the bed.

For me the most recent game that’s not lived up to expectations it’s Gran Turismo 7, it’s not a bad game at all but after the previous numbered entries it hasn’t lived up to the heights of those for me. The single player racing is really repetitive, start from the back and make up enough time.

I really enjoyed Legion.
I did really enjoy sending in a Grandma I'd dressed as a teenage skater dude to seduce the sexy protagonist near the end and seeing her get shot down in flames.

I did use the construction guy but I dressed him as a Grandma.

I have to agree with this.
Yeah, it looks nice and the stuff about cars is great but as with most GT games "fun" doesn't seem to be something the developers even considered.

The idea that car ownership in a game should be as aspirational as real life is a joke.
I play car games because I know I'm never going to afford a supercar let alone a hypercar I don't need to have that same soul crushing feeling from a game.
People already paid for the content making them grind like strawberry floating mad just to buy a single car is madness.

Total bollocks.

So Rage 2 had a very solid and very good ‘feel’ to the core shooting mechanic. It was really enjoyable. The fact that it was a soulless world and the final mission bugged on me, means I agree.

BF2042 is a shocker. Played a lot on release and it was ok. But it’s a game I normally play for months. Not quite deleted it. Been playing the division again (so good).

My contribution. Just cause 4. Same gooseberry fool as previous games with shinier graphics. Just a bit clunky, grindy and just no movement or progress in the core game. Deleted after a couple of hours.

Probably Fallout 76 or Cyberpunk in terms of expectation vs. reality.

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Not that I’ve got any of the legendary cars but I’ve read there’s not really much you can do with them either? Obviously you can drive them but not sure if you can use them in career or not?

agreed its not as fun as other entries GT 3 & 4 particularly. The cafe book career mode a pointless addition and having tracks locked till you hit a certain level to race them just why and the payout roulette wheel is fixed no one ever gets above 5k, the replay value is weak compared to say 3 & 4

I didn't play it all that long but can I even time trial on all the tracks with a car I've bought or are they still locked?
Can you test drive cars?

Yeah, put me down for Rage 2 as well. Driving across the overworld was excruciatingly awful. Used to leave me in a right shite mood.
