Yep - given this trend of coming up with gooseberry fool twists on existing spirits combined with the current salt obsession then it's only a matter of time before this becomes a reality...

True story about Hershey's Shitolate: Back in uni one of my housemates brought some of it back from a trip to the US and had stashed it behind a bedside table in her room. It turned out that we had mice/rats in our house ("Ding, dong landlord here, I hope you enjoy your new pets I've let into your home. P.S. I'm putting the rent up again!") and they ate through pretty much any food that we had left in the house when everyone went home for Christmas that year. The only thing that was left was this bar of Hershey's which had a corner nibbled away at but was otherwise virtually untouched.

Even vermin know that Hershey's is gooseberry fool!

Marshmallows are another one.

There are some ridiculous "recipes" on their, I saw one for a Christmas Cake the other day that was buying a cake then adding some icing to it.

I've just read that, it's just take these out of the packet and eat them

I like most of the stuff people seem to hate. Although I really don't like Parma Violet.

My choice would be any Haribo bag of sweets because I just wolf down the whole thing and then feel sick for the rest of the day.

Those red cough candy twists were rancid too. Not sure if they were flavoured with aniseed.

Anniseed sweets are a good one - utterly revolting taste, I don't know what they're even for.

Also those UFOs that taste like paper, until you get to the equally nasty surprise in the middle.

Contender for best sweet, on the other hand: worms! The gummy, life-sized ones. A delicious sweet and toy in one.

Its an old person thing I think.

I'm pretty sure during war time when there was way less sugar people chewed liquorice plant so I imagine when sugar came back it started to be included as people had developed a taste for it.

Definitely agree with Hershey being vile. My dad lives in the US and for Christmas when I was 8 he sent me a tin of hershey kisses. They were absolutely disgusting.
