I never win anything, and today I was delighted to find that I had won a copy of Mercenaries 2 on 360 from EA today. I'd entered the rather simple competition without any expectations, and couldn't believe it when I saw my username in the 360 winners list.

So to make this thread worthwhile, what have you lot won which is gaming related?

In about 1988 i won a poster for some sports game by US Gold from a competition in C&VG. I even got my name printed in the magazine.

EDIT: That's twenty years ago :shock:

I got MGS2: Substance from OPS2 in 2003 for getting a letter printed. It was a rather awful question, to be honest...

MS once sent me DoA Ultimate, two copies of Forza, and Conker Live and Reloaded for signing up to XBL during August (even though I didn't).

I once got a letter printed in commodore power, it was a a rather naive question about streets of rage coming to the C64 :fp:

what was i thinking. Im suprised they printed it, i cant remember exactly but i dont think the reply was too patronising! didnt win anything though, except the pride of having a letter published!

edit: oh yeah they titled the letter "Raging Bull" clever eh!

I won a DS, no sh!t. I bought a Buffalo router and it had one of 5 magic tickets in it. Then I looked at the closing date and I had 2 days left 'til closing date - yikes! When I got it I sold it on for £80 as I already had one.

I swear when I saw that ticket, I just thought "right so where's the catch".

The best thing I've won was an Xbox, with Ghost Recon and a year's subscription to Xbox Live. A few years ago now, courtesy of Eurogamer.
