I love me some XBLA, so I plan to update this thread with all the latest XBLA news and vids coming out of E3

The 2012 Summer of Arcade line-up will be revealed on the GameTrailers live stream before Microsoft's conference on Monday, any guesses what the games will be?

Dust: An Elysian Tail has appeared on Xbox.com with some new pics, I think that would be a great candidate for SoA!

I wonder whatever happened to that Fire Pro Wrestling XBLA game. Seems to have been completely forgotten about.

Summer of XBLA rarely disappoints. I'm surprised Microsoft don't give more focus to it during their conferences to be honest. Hopefully we'll finally get a release date for Tony Hawks HD. I'd love Geometry Wars 3 to be unveiled though i know that's pretty unlikely. :(

Definitely! I really hate how they don't run their XBLA promo reels during the main conference any more :(

As has been said a release date for Tony Hawks would be good. Other than that, I'd like to know when Jet Set is being released too.

Oh yes, that totally slipped my mind. Hope they canned the last project from all that avatar nonsense, went back to the drawing board and are about to show the reboot

That would be a pretty good one but it would only work if they put local multiplayer back in. Took it out for Live and Reloaded for some stupid reason.

They've already remade that game once. Seems unlikely to happen again.

Zeno Clash 2 announced:

Atlus has revealed that ACE Team is working on a sequel to quirky first-person brawler Zeno Clash.

The company will be publishing the title in early 2013 on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Atlus also released the first trailer for the game, which will probably boggle your mind if you've never played the original.

Full press release:

· Summer of Arcade. Each year Summer of Arcade delivers the most anticipated downloadable games of the season, and this year is no exception. With five back-to-back weeks of unparalleled releases, the fifth annual Summer of Arcade includes:

“Deadlight” (Tequila Works/Microsoft Studios). “Deadlight” is a puzzle platformer, where the player must take advantage of the main character’s agility to solve obstacles, and dodge zombies, manipulating the many interactive elements of the scenery. With more walking corpses than bullets, the feeling of danger is constant.
“Dust: An Elysian Tail” (Humble Hearts/Microsoft Studios). As the mysterious warrior, Dust, your action-packed journey will take you from peaceful glades to snowy mountaintops and beyond. Battle dozens of enemies at once with an easy-to-learn, difficult-to-master combat system, and uncover the story of an ancient civilization on the brink of extinction as you fight to uncover your own past in a gorgeous hand-painted world.
“Hybrid” (5TH Cell/5TH Cell). “Hybrid” is a pioneering third person shooter set in the near future, where global conflict exists between a species known as the Variant and a rebel human faction known as the Paladins. 5TH Cell strives to give players a completely new gameplay experience never seen before in the genre.
“Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD” (Robomodo/Activision). “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD” takes the best elements of the classic “THPS” games and gives them a fresh update to create an all new skateboarding experience. Tapping into fans’ muscle memories, and combining sharp visuals with the best controls ever in a Tony Hawk game, the feel is cutting edge yet timeless.
“Wreckateer” (Iron Galaxy/Microsoft Studios). “Wreckateer” uses Kinect to put you in control of a massive castle-wrecking ballista. With the help of Wreck and Tinker, travel the land and destroy 60 castles using six magical projectiles, and explore the infinite ways you can wreak havoc with “Wreckateer’s” fully-dynamic destruction.

· Xbox LIVE Tournaments. We are working with Virgin Gaming to launch a new tournament service on Xbox LIVE, later this year. This new entertainment app will allow players to choose from a wide variety of free-to-play or paid-entry tournaments and head-to-head matches, for top titles from leading publishers. Xbox LIVE Tournaments, powered by Virgin Gaming, makes tournaments easy to join, fun and accessible to all types of gamers.

This year, we’re delivering the best in entertainment from Xbox. We’re bringing you more premium games, TV, movies, sports, web and music, enjoyed in unique ways that only Xbox can deliver. We’re making the entertainment experience complete with more ways than ever to discover and engage with all your favorite content across devices. Our mission is to make Xbox an amazing place for all of your entertainment – anytime, on any device. Keep playing, sharing, watching and pushing us – it’s only getting better from here.

LocoCycle unveiled

There's a new game coming in from Twisted Pixel, the developer behind The Gunstringer and 'Splosion Man - and it seems to star a sentient motorcycle.

A pre-rendered trailer revealed the game at Microsoft's E3 press conference, and beyond the game's 2013 release date no further details were disclosed. Sorry...

Gore Verbinski Kinect project announced

A new game being overseen by Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski broke cover at Microsoft's E3 press conference, with the Kinect-enabled Matter slated for release on Xbox Live Arcade in 2013.

A brief trailer showed an anthropomorphic orb passing through an abstract landscape made out of shifting cubes - seeming to suggest that it'll be a puzzle game. More, as ever, will be disclosed in the coming days.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive hits XBLA in August

Valve has confirmed Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac will be out on August 21.

"To be available via the Playstation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, and Steam (for PC and Mac), CS: GO will expand upon the team-based action gameplay pioneered when Counter-Strike was launched almost 13 years ago (CS beta 1, August 1999)," said the press release.

The game will launch on all stores for $15 (1200 MSPs)

"CS: GO features new maps, characters, and weapons and delivers updated versions of the classic CS content (de_dust, etc.). In addition, CS: GO introduces new gameplay modes, matchmaking, leader boards, and more," adds Valve.

No bonus for buying all five Summer of Arcade games is a bit disappointing. I mean Wreckateer looks a pile of shite but if they were effectively giving it away I'd probably get it as three of the five are damn near certainties for me. I'm very iffy about Hybrid given I won't play it online.

More importantly is Skulls of the Shogun at the show?
