Ditto, with Sony focusing on the 4 big first party games I think Microsoft will show a lot of third party multiplatform games tonight.

They just don't have enough first party studios to constantly churn out AAA exclusives anymore.

I can see this being true.

They could do a Sony and go “looks what’s coming in the next 5 years!!!” But I don’t think that will do them any favours in the long run.

Edit: Ahh, 15 world premieres not exclusives.

Last year they announced 42 world premieres and roughly 20 exclusives (most of these were launch exclusives/indie titles already on Steam).

No idea. I presume if you sign into Mixer on PC (with Xbox info) it’s the same.

My wild speculation for E3 - A deal with Nintendo to run all third party Switch online titles on Xbox Live and support cross platform play, party chat, achievements etc. Would massively improve Nintendo's online infrastructure and would benefit Microsoft by positioning Switch/One as the gamer's console setup of choice. Both parties have been quite open about cross platform play recently, this seems like a natural evolution of that.

Blimey! That's a bold idea, mhtl, and one that I wouldn't be totally averse to. I could only imagine it happening if MS were to buy out Nintendo, though, and I just can't see that. If they were to remain separate companies, Nintendo would be too reliant upon MS by taking this path.

Additionally, Nintendo's plans for Online already sound way too mediocre to think that they'll use the Xbox infrastructure :-)

Yeah I'm just daydreaming really. I expect the megatons to be more of that kind of nature than any major game announcements though.

I do expect this to be the best conference of the platform holders, but they are certainly under the most pressure to prove themselves. I expect announcements for FFVII and Shenmue 3, a Fable game, Halo, Gears and maybe 2 or 3 more fully fledged exclusives, not including indie games.

I always assumed that was PS4 exclusive...?

I think I'll get off the internet until tonight just in case, can't stand leaks on the day of the conference.

Yeah, I’m thinking of staying away from most places until after the conference tonight.

That Schreier tweet is definitely a big tease from someone who knows about MEGATONS!

Also Alanah Pearce’s tweet looks like Minecraft graphics. It could be that my p1 post in the E3 predictions thread is right - Xbox VR with Minecraft VR - now that’s a killer app that might push some XBO units. Then again the market is so small if Microsoft don’t announce it now it might be postponed until next gen.

I'm hoping for an Xbox version of Age of Empires 4.

Announcing Mixed Reality headsets will now work on Xbox One would be amazing, I've predicted it the last couple of years and have been disappointed so far though.

Last Years 8 World Premiere's -

Assassin's Creed Origins
Code Vein
Dragon Ball FighterZ
Forza Motorsport 7
Life is Strange - Before the Storm
Metro Exodus
Ori 2
Super Lucky's Tale

Read that MS's Mixed Reality guy is in Paris at the moment.

I'm pretty it's been confirmed as a timed exclusive? But with the development struggles it's been having I wouldn't be surprised by a simultaneous release.
