Isn't Forza, Gears & Halo the usual exclusives? From Software, Metro, Kingdom Hearts and Cyberpunk is multi platform. Out of those big games it seems only Forza will be playable this year. In hindsight it wasn't a terribly good conference for Microsoft. Lots of promise but for this year? Nah!

It's certainly not caught on like I thought it would as it's amazing.
Maybe it's like 3D where it will resurface again in another 10 years once there's a leap in PC and screen tech.

As I said, the conference was great, the MS exclusives were somewhat lacking. Not bad at all, in a normal year they would have been fantastic, but they're so far behind the curve now that they needed to show some truly remarkable 1st party offerings. I'd argue that they failed in this regard.

Gameplay and new exciting IP's. Giving Forza a pass because H4 looked crazy fun and I Don't Even Like RacersTM. Halo and Gears (and Froza and Fable) are the reason I dropped my 360, and whilst it was cool seeing the Cyberpunk game world it was just a cut scene.

But! I'd still give it a Very Good / 10.

My understanding is that the market is growing, just not as fast as it was perhaps expected. It's a niche and the tech is evolving all the time.

That was about 30 minutes too long

Horizon 4 was probably the best announcement and showing of a game ever. It’s a shame it’s still got all the bouncing around nonsense and they’ve picked the UK as a setting, would have much preferred Japan as a local.

Tomb Raider looked pretty ropey.

I can’t wait for all the inevitable Funko Pop games.

Good to see them invest in some studios finally. They’ve tripled their potential output. 3-4 years to see if that works out for them

Not arsed about Halo since 4 and 5 were pretty pish (Destiny does Halo better than Halo these days anyway).
Forza is a racing game so it's hard for me to get interested by default, 30fps on standard console is an instant nope.
Started getting bored of Gears after 3.
Already seen Metro.
I love From Software's Souls games and Bloodborne but this one left me feeling bit cold. Need to see more.
Zero interest in Kingdom Hearts.
I'll get excited about the studio stuff once they actually show off something I like.
Cyberpunk looks good as expected.

From a conference standpoint, it was bloody brilliant. Just flew by, game after game.

As a Microsoft conference, eh, not so much. Still no reason to buy one this late into the gen. At this point I’d say hold back Fable, Perfect Dark and even Halo to entice people back.

I can’t get on with Destiny and I really don’t think it’s better than Halo, at all, not even close.

Pisses all over it for me. Taken King campaign was better than Halo 4's and Destiny 2's was better than 6's. Then you've got the strikes, raids, public events etc. and Halo has nothing comparable to that. I enjoy the multiplayer a lot more too, especially in D1. Bungie are far better then 343 at this sort of stuff.

One of my biggest disappointments of this gen is being a Halo fan and having no interest in Destiny. I couldn't even be bothered to download a free copy this weekend.

What’s 6?? You mean 5? Opinions gonna opinion but no matchmaking in Destiny is ridiculous, and adversarial Destiny mp is leagues behind Halo 5, there’s a reason Destiny’s mp isn’t in tournaments, in modes alone Halo 5 has tons to do. Halo 2’s mp is better than Destiny.

The Microsoft exclusive trinity don’t interest me anymore and so there wasn’t much to pull me back in.

No denying it was an extremely well done conference though. Really well executed.
