Yes and no.

I hated the GC pad, not just for the size but laso the 'clickyness'. The DC pad I was comfortable with as soon as I held it (had a third party pad included with my DC though, that was awful - it was gorilla hand size - someone bought it off me on ebay and never left feedback  ) and it was (I think) the first pad to have triggers?

I believe it was, yes.

Is that a picture of it in the OP? It looks exactly the same as the current D-pad. :?

Sounds a bit stupid to me, just make it standard ffs.

Is this true, that it is only going to be a limited edition?

If so it's like saying "yep, we know the current one is crap so we are fixing it, but be quick there are only 10,000 of them being made".

It just completely defeats the point of doing it at all.

I only really use the d-pad for menus so I've never had a problem with it. And I use my Hori stick for fighting games. Which is amazing.

All Saturn pads had six face buttons, that one was the analogue pad that came with NiGHTS.

I never thought there was a problem with the D pad. And it'd be good if they had other colours, then they might be more popular.

How many people do you know with a pink or blue pad they brought out last Christmas?

I have a blue, but I don't know anyone else with one.

You're absolutely correct. I was getting confused with the two Mega Drive controller types for a second there.

Have I missed a link somewhere? I'm just seeing a green one. Cliffy B had a red on at E3 I assumed it would be GoW2 related, it did look cool though.

Didn't they announce the red and green controllers as Limited Editions at E3? I guess the D-pad improvement will be introduced with these new colours before being introduced in the other colours.

Interesting, but I'm not about to go and spend 30 quid on a new controller just because it has an improved feature I rarely use. Hmm.

Seriously for the amount I actually use the D-Pad on the 360 this would be a completely pointless investment. Won't come close to Nintendo's D-Pad design anyway, along with Sega they're the only ones to have ever got it right. (The Dual Shock one is absolutely gash)

I know they brought out (or are doing) new controllers. Only the US gets the red one (hence Cliffy B having one) and we get a green one. This is probably it, actually.
