Please to be excite!

Microsoft wrote:See the Future of Xbox on May 21

On Tuesday May 21, we’ll mark the beginning of a new generation of games, TV and entertainment. We’ll be holding a special press event on the Xbox campus and we invite you to join us via the live global stream that will be available on Xbox LIVE and Xbox.com.

On that day, we’ll share our vision for Xbox, and give you a real taste of the future. Then, 19-days later at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, we’ll continue the conversation and showcase our full lineup of blockbuster games.

GAMETRAILERS PRE-SHOW + POST-SHOW

GameTrailers wrote:As you know, GameTrailers.com and SpikeTV are the official online and on-air broadcast partners for XBOX: A New Generation Revealed on May 21st. What does that mean? Well, while other outlets may be talking about the event, we will be on-site at the briefing bringing you live coverage from the reveal, with a direct simulcast of Microsoft’s announcement, hosted by Geoff Keighley as well as an exclusive live post-show where we will be the first outlet to interview Microsoft's Don Mattrick while giving viewers a behind the scenes look at the making of the next Xbox. No other outlet will have this level of access or be broadcasting on-site at the event, so stay tuned to SpikeTV or GameTrailers.com for the most comprehensive coverage.

Honestly don't know what to expect from this. Is it going to be Allard on a skateboard and GTA tattoos or is it going to be tripe like the E3 conferences of the last 3+ years? Either way I'm watching.

I don't mind it being an hour to be honest. I'd rather this thing not drag on for too long, especially when E3 is where they're going to solely focus on the games (Microsoft have made this clear so people shouldn't bemoan them if there's a lack of games shown). An hour gives each topic a decent amount of time without going on for too long. Maybe 10-15 minutes of specs/tech talk, 10-15 minutes of Kinect 2 tech stuff, their vision for Xbox Live and of course a few game trailers and maybe a demo or two thrown in.

Cannot wait. Next gen (or semi current gen?) feels completely 'meh' at the moment. Someone has to get it right. It can't get much worse. I hope not anyway...

Considering your typical responses to their E3 shows I'm genuinely perplexed as to why that would bother you. I seem to recall you were you still banging on about the abandonment of the original Xbox at their last E3 conference.

It's going to be an hour long event revealing the new 360 budget model and the the Xbox Infinity. No games.

Anyone expecting anything else going into it will be disappointed.

I'm pretty much set on not getting the next Xbox right now; there's just no way can I afford either price plan. Gonna get hyped up for a lost cause on Tuesday. :(

Yeah, it's the perfect amount of time for a hardware reveal. It'll also leave me nice and hyped for the games at E3 :D

:slol:

I mean there being a super expensive version, and a cheaper one with which you have to buy a two year Live sub.

Were they not just rumours, though?

I'll probably do my usual. Wait for the first price drop and then pick up a next gen console.
