It's just a 3 month timed exclusive according to documents from the Epic/Apple trial.

Definitely be trying that then!

Does Sea of Thieves have a lot of single player content at this point?

I didn’t think it did? Or at least there’s not an offline mode? So you could always get raided by other players?

Wonder how this will work then? Same idea and people can still raid your game? Always been interested in playing it but not interested in playing online.

When it says alone it almost certainly means you on a ship with a sea full of other player filled ships. 99% of those ships are arsehats

See, I don’t want to play with the people who are just there to try and raid your ship  I just want to sail the seas and take part in the single player stuff

If you’re doing a ‘tall tale’ (which is what these will be) they do have a system in place of you start it early on after logging on to put you onto a sparse server to avoid these things, I presume they’ll try harder for this.

Downloading Yakuza right now, Dark Alliance next, The Ascent, Flight Sim, Pyschonauts 2, Back4Blood, Forza 5 and Halo. That’s pretty stacked till Xmas for Gamepass.

They're selling their games at a unsustainable financial loss via Gamepass to catch up, I think they will still struggle to get close to Nintendo & Sony this generation.

Do you have data backing that up? Or is it an assumption? I'm interested to see any data as I haven't seen much.

I think that's a pretty massive assumption. How would you even qualify Gamepass as "a loss"?

Shredders does look kind of interesting.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is the game I have been waiting on for 12 years. 12 strawberry floating years.

There's such a huge difference re-watching the videos again in 4K. I could have sworn the Xbox Reveal showcase had a 4K stream but nothing this week seems to have it.

I really hope they've not dumbed it down. Kinda got that feeling after the trailer.

As a showcase of what we can come to expect from the new consoles, Forza Horizon 5 (they’re using a real sky!) and A Plague Tale: Requiem looked phenomenal (especially the beach scene at the conclusion).

Outer Worlds 2 trailer was also knowingly amusing.

It was Xbox’s best E3 in a while easily, just quick game after game but I’m surprised at how the gaming media have seemingly loved it.

Microsoft doesn't release data about the profit of Gamepass, which is itself a red flag. Eurogamer had an article a few months ago, where an analyst estimated they'd need 50 million subscribers to be profitable, & they're currently around 15 million.

Where do you get your info from? it was 23million subs 2 months ago.

The 50m subs figure 'to be profitable' is also wrong, it's to be 'as profitable' as the rest of the Xbox division, not the same really but you know this of course.

Twitter's first profitable year was 2019. By all reports, Uber and AirBNB have never made profit.

This is how big business works. Run at a loss until all the competition is gone.

it was 18m in January.

During the company's recent earnings call, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella divulged that Xbox Game Pass topped an impressive 18 million subscribers.

Another year, another longing to play Sable

The Outer World's 2 was probably my personal favourite of the show, but I'll avoid getting too excited in case I can't play it wherever it releases.

Shredders looked good but I'm already getting that fix I hope from Rider's Republic (which has the benefit of me knowing I really liked Steep).

Starfield getting the same release date as Skyrim but 11/11/22 instead of 11/11/11 was both cool and a depressing reminder of how long it has been since the last Elder Scrolls game! The trailer gave a bit more sense of the design of the universe but we're still not really any more the wiser on what it will be like to play.

Party Animals just looks like a new Gang Beasts. There have been a few games that try to be Gang Beasts, I don't think any of them have ever really matched up. This certainly looked the part in the trailer but the proof is in the playing I guess.
