I know that! I mean which person on screen was Shadow?

Mike Brown, the director and main talking head!

Can someone drop him an email and ask if he can make sure the multiplayer in Horizon 5 is available from the moment you start it rather than making you play through a few hours of waffle beforehand :shifty: that create mode towards the end of the section looked great but if all my buds have to play through a few hours to get to it then none of them are going to bother with it

wtf actually was Contraband, too? Trailer gave you no idea whatsoever what the game was :(

I mean you can't end every single show with a "massive" announcement. And I think announcing Arkane's first Xbox exclusive game was a decent one.

And Sony did FFVII Remake, Shenmue and Last Guardian in one show. Let's not pretend that they have that level of reveal on every stream they do.

Sony have had plenty of gooseberry fool showings as well. Let us not forget their last E3 show which was one of the worst they've ever done.

Meh, don't feed the troll

Really good show overall. Best bits:

- Replaced, just jaw-droppingly gorgeous
- RedFall looks like it'll be strawberry floating FUN
- Forza Horizon 5 looks strawberry floating baller
- That STALKER trailer was pitched perfectly for that game

Not so good bits

- Halo Infinite was meant to reinvent the brand and it has: into a Gears-adjacent 8/10 AA series, which I don't think is what they were aiming for
- Starfield is ages away and...just didn't look all that good even now in mid-2021

Solid show even if a lot of it wasn't my jam. Replaced looked amazing tho. Glad these kinds of games are making a comeback.

Microsoft need to fund some Japanese developers. I feel the "je ne sais quoi" of Japanese titles is missing from their lineup, even the Xbox 360 had lots of Shmups, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon etc.

Forza Horizon 5 is everything I could want it to be. A world larger than 4, with a lot to explore with it. Just let me grab my Mini and get driving. And then I'll mod it to be the AWD drifter of Horizon 4 to easily three star the drift zones. Sea of Thieves update was neat, as well. Quite enjoyed a lot of the stuff there, and the fact there was barely any interviews or talking meant this is easily the best event of the bunch.

Decent show overall but still seems like we’re 12 months away from the gooseberry fool really getting real on XBox, shouldn’t be too hard to hold off on Gamespass until then.
B overall for the presentation. Too much vague CGI crap.

Time for adventure

 Very true.

But I'm with you on Replaced. Probably the game that stuck with me the most. Looks stunning.
Getting Left 4 Dead vibes from RedFall, which mixed with Arkane's ability to make top-tier 1st person experiences I'm very excited about.
Horizon does look phenomenal, so I will give it a shot when it comes out, but I'm wary as it still seems to have the same "attitude" that put me off the other games.

Thought Halo looked ok. It's more Halo really, which isn't a bad thing, but it's not making any big impact anymore.

Starfield, well there's just not enough there to really get any idea of how it's going to play. Still looking forward to it though, for the simple reason that for all their flaws I do enjoy BGS RPGs.

I read several times not to expect any Hellblade 2 stuff, but I'm still disappointed.

Microsoft are in a very good position aren't they?

Hard not to be impressed by how much they've turned things around over the last decade.

They're selling their games at a unsustainable financial loss via Gamepass to catch up, I think they will still struggle to get close to Nintendo & Sony this generation.

Flight Sim, 12 Minutes and Psychonauts 2 in the near future is all great stuff to look forward to. I hope Horizon 5 has some meaningful progression this time as it looks great and they are always fun to play. But as a solo player it often felt my skill and actual focus on the racing was arbitrary.
Halo looked.... much the same. That first bit looked very impressive, but the multiplayer engine stuff didn’t look any different than the single player footage shown last year.

Great to see a Plague Tale sequel - I loved the first one. Good to see them not focusing entirely on co op shooter stuff (I have no friends to play with so I always feel left out of all that stuff).

All in all a very impressive line up. And 90% of it will be “free”.

Seriously impressed by what we will be getting via game pass. Phil always gives the big speeches and never delivers. I will save a lot by getting some of these third party games on game pass for sure and theres more than enough this year, however nothing is anywhere near nintendo or sony quality apart from maybe forza horizon 5.

Good showing overall, expected more Starfield and Halo, am surprised Halo didn't even get a date.

Phil only mentioned Redfall and Starfield as Bethesda Xbox exclusives at the end so still holding out hope for that PS5 Elder Scrolls 6 8-)

Some good stuff coming this year for me (Back 4 Blood, Age of Empires 4, Halo, will probably try Forza and Flight Sim), feels like 2022 and 2023 will be the years we really get to see the benefit of their studio accusations, plus that tweet said Forza Motorsport 8 is coming out next year so that’s a big plus. Stalker 2 looked good (is this one just a timed exclusive?), Halo should be good but I’ll only be playing the single player side of things. Sea of Thieves update looked great, will definitely make me download it! Somerville looked like it could be very good too. Redfall looked very interesting too. Good overall, just not amazing, was probably expecting a bit too much

Its the truth and so many on here need to accept it. Only microsoft can sustain such losses. They are just looking to monopolise the industry and it should not happen.
