Announcing it now or they will look like liars when all the devs have it and know about it. All devs need to know they have the option to make scale-able graphics so there is actually games that take advantage of the power increase when it releases.

Ok conference for me, I feel like they had the content in there too make it a great one but parts of it really dragged. None of the games really popped off the screen and the Scorpio announcement at the end seems to confuse things a bit.

I don't see why I would buy an Xbox and not just put that money towards a PC upgrade.

A solid conference in terms of games and pacing but the Xbox is in a weird place.
I really want to see just what the difference is with the current machine and the S.

Oh, interesting.
They haven't officially said anything yet so it's possible.

Or that.

Will all games run on Xbox One?

He said all XBO games will run on it. From that I infer that Scorpio games will not run on XBO.

Kind of... As in there would be nothing stopping a developer making an X1 game after the Scorpio came out which would run on everything, but if it was exclusive to Scorpio then it wouldn't work on older hardware

He also said "No one is left behind". I took that to mean *everything* would work on every XB.

To run games at native 4K are they really going to look that much different from now? I actually think they won't.

I hope that's the case as it seems sensible.

They were hinting that they aren't going to do a next gen.

Yep. I didn't necessarily think it was bad as a show but considering I have a beefy PC, I'll be selling my Xbox One. From what I can tell, Halo is the only full exclusive remaining.

Yeah a bit like the New 3DS with games still running on the old models, but with the option for devs to release games just for the new model.

They will and do so even if they're downsampled from 'just' 1440p.

But surely they can tell devs without officially revealing it as that's what NDAs are for. Plus the devs will already be making scale-able graphics if they're releasing on pc.

I was listening very carefully. 'No one left behind' is non-specific. But he clearly said that every XBO game and peripheral will work on Scorpio. NOT vice versa. The recording of the stream will be up later and I will have a second listen!
