I mean, it's essentially vague enough that no matter what gets announced, it'll be right.

If Lego Forza does get announced and it isn't like Lego Racers then I'll be livid.

If you played the hotwheels DLC then you'll know to be prepared for disappointment

You don't think the two quotes together makes it obvious?

I think MS need to resolve the software issues for the Xbox controller in relation to PC. I can connect mine over bluetooth just fine but whenever I plug it in to recharge the thing it overwrites the driver settings and forces you to remove and then re-pair the thing to get it working over bluetooth again. The only solution I have found is to recharge it over the wall socket so it does not get a chance to talk with the PC over USB.

I mean the one quote ends with "if what I heard is true"

There’s some rumours around that Gears 5 could be open world, that’d be pretty cool if true.

Sounds more semi-open from the leak I posted in the Gears 5 thread.

Fable rumour from Reddit -

First/Third Person
In Depth character creator
Completely Open
No guns
Can ignore main quest and never become a hero
Players can build towns, ties into main quest heavily if you get the bad ending and fail
Multiplayer
Unreal Engine

Story details - Albion and Aurora are gone. "Lands reduced to fables." The Spire was rebuilt and used by a mad king to wish that an asteroid would strike the planet. He also wished it would happen again in the far future. Eons later and everything is new (medieval themed, new continents) and you have to stop the destruction of the planet again. Theresa and a Heroes Guild are preserved on another planet via a demon door. Time Travel heavily involved in play. Jack of Blades returns.

Also a rubbish early video (which I've not seen) keeps getting taken down.

Yeah I can think of nothing worse than *another* "open-world for the sake of open-world" game. Would they pad it out with fetch-quests and even more characterless NPCs, or what? I just can't see what it could bring to the series.

Think the only thing that'd make me take interest in Gears 5 beyond thinking "I'll buy it when it's cheap" would be the return of more-than-two-people co-op. And even then it'd be far from a day one investment.

Hope we get some decent goodies in the mixpot this time, too. Probably the thing I'm most excited for.

Currently playing RAGE 2 and it's making me hate lazy open world mechanics. Here's a game with excellent shooting broken up by long, boring stretches of poorly crafted driving mechanics so they can stamp 'open world' on the box. The idea of doing something similar with Gears' slow moving, tank-like characters...?

Spare me.

Nothing much new if you closely follow MS but worth a watch. New stuff -

At least 3 new IP's
Halo Infinite will have a Trailer & a gameplay demo running on a PC
State of Decay 2 DLC
Might demo xCloud from someones house
"While I don’t think Microsoft will share the raw performance figures of xCloud, I have heard that it does best Google’s previously announced 10.7 teraflops."

Left on the cutting room floor:

Elite controller update may show up
First party games with deeper mixer integration
Gamertags getting updated

Nintendo? Could be an announcement related to the rumours from earlier this year regarding Xbox games on Switch.

It could be all guff but there’s quite the build up to this conference, more so than any other I can remember. Could be balls tho.

Yeah, strawberry floating hate that. As if anyone is going to read his tweet and think “oh gooseberry fool, better not leak anything”. It’s all “look at me, I know something”.
