Was good. Very little in the way of pauses, plenty of trailers shown. Megatons certainly didn't show, but I wasn't awaiting them anyway. I was just there for the LEGO, and I got what I wanted.

Keanu Reeves is now up there as a proper E3 moment

I thought this was excellent, a ton of games (even if there were a few too many CGI trailers), some genuine great surprises (Minecraft Dungeons!), and a Forza segment that wasn't boring - I never could have predicted that!

I am so stupidly excited for Outer Worlds

Also I'm guessing Spiritfarer is going to crush my heart if I play it

Keanu / 10

I found the Scarlett announcement underwhelming. Ditto Halo Infinity fx. (But the snippet of possible Halo Infinity gameplay looked really cool.)

Yeah, that looks all kinds of touching. Can't wait to see more of it.

Pretty disappointed with what microsoft had to show and even their scarlett unveiling was a bit underwhelming. The sony announcements over the past month took the wind out of their sails, especially on the ssd announcement.

They got the opportunity to show of some multiplatform titles which was nice, but no real exclusives that look great apart from halo infinite.

Wow.

I'm almost tempted to buy Horizon 4 just for the expansion but I don't think I've actually really enjoyed a Forza game ever. Will wait and see if it's as fun as it looked.

Think the most interesting thing was that 12 Minutes game, but I wouldn't want it on the Xbox. Got kind-of Ghost Trick vibes from it.

Arkham Knight and Metro Exodus being announced for Game Pass out me in a good mood straight away, so i thoroughly enjoyed the presentation. 12 minutes looked really good.

After all the hype from the media prior to that it sounded the like the industry was about to change forever. Instead it was a boring waste of nearly two hours I’ll never get back.

12 Minutes, Battletoads and Ori looked good.

Still at least I’m interested in Scarlett at launch for Halo.

I may have mentioned this before (every single year) but I haven’t said it yet this time: I really strawberry floating hate E3.

5/10

Not sure where to start with that really, lots of razmataz with very little substance

- Ninja Theory are renowned for adventure games with great story telling, now owned by MS they're relegated to making generic looking online hero shooters

- Ori & Will of the Wisps, this actually looked good :)

- 12 Minutes also looked good (non-exclusive like most things here)

- Microsoft Flight Simulator and Age of Empires II, brilliant, glad to see MS are remembering their classic PC IP

- Lego, nothing's more nauseating to me than the bloody Lego brand

- Cyberpunk!!!!! Oh my god that looks amazing wait it's CGI why the hell would they do this they have one of the best looking games this generation oh well guess they'll finally show the gameplay in like 2 months again HOLY strawberry float KEANU REEVES!!!!!

- A bunch of other CGI trailers with Imagine Dragons sounding crap playing in the background.

- Gears 5... trailer, gave no idea of what gameplay is like, just spinny camera crap.

- Halo Infinite, "This will be coming day 1 on Scarlett", woop-de-doo, god knows what happened but this paled in comparison to last year's trailer (not a good way to get people excited about your next gen system)

- Project Scarlett, some babble about gamers and how important they are, then just a list of things that Sony said a month ago... with epic beard guy

Er, this had been in development before the MS purchase.

Surprised at quite how much negativity there is here, I thought it was a good showing! Highlights for me (thanks Monkey Man for the easy summary post to work through):

The Outer Worlds - Already very excited for this and it inspires confidence to see it open the show
Ori 2 - Reminder that I need to play these games, both highly rated and very pretty looking
Minecraft Dungeons - Big surprise for me and a definite purchase
Jedi Fallen Order - It's looking neat
Cyberpunk - On stage appearance from "you're beautiful" Keanu Reeves, it must be E3!
Spiritfarer - Looks like it's going to be heart tearing
Lego Star Wars: Skywalker Saga - Can't wait for this Lego/Candy Crush cross-over!
12 Minutes - Love a good time-loop

Add in the indie sizzles of games previously announced and there are a lot of games there I'm interested in

I thought the conference was pretty good. There weren't really any "megatons" but it feels hard to moan when sixty games were shown. Game Pass looks like it could become essential and the closening of the Xbox and PC worlds is interesting.

If the new console was going to be launched in early 2020 then I think we would have seen more of it but, with the "holiday 2020" window, it's probably too early for Microsoft to show much. With a near eighteen-month lead-up to launch, competing platforms could have taken advantage of the information. But, hey, four times the power of Xbox One X does sound like being a significant step forward.

It does seem like the console manufacturers are putting all the development money and time into the actual machine next gen rather than pointless extras that most don't want.
It's also nice that we didn't hear anything about entertainment and video options again and it was back to being all about games.

I wonder if the reason Halo didn’t look much different from current generation is because it’s going to be running at native 4K, 60FPS. That’s where all the extra power would be going, presumably.

Let me translate that for you.
