Obsidian RPG is on a 'Skyrim Scale' apparently.

Having 2 massive open world RPG's in Fable and this Obsidian game is a brave move, I think the Obsidian one is further out though, as is The Outer Worlds 2.

Is the last line suggesting Conker?

I know it’s a massive pipe dream but I’d be there day 1 if a couple of launch games were a Conker’s Bad Fur Day and Banjo Kazooie/Tooie remakes

I detest conker games but a new Banjo would be cool.

I’ve no idea what position that person holds but they’re really hyping this event up and we’re still over 2 weeks away, already feeling more excited than for Sony’s event to be honest.

Klobrille has some connections to the Xbox team or knows someone who does. Unlike various other 'leakers' he's never wrong but he only knows what Xbox are working on, he's no clue about Sony or others. His opinion on the show is just his so take it with a pinch of salt of course.

I can't remember a showcase being hyped as much as this so, honestly, I've tempered my expectations. A solid Halo showing and a decent launch line up will make me happy.

Meant to be shown this year so maybe August Xbox event, Gamescom, Game Awards or X020.

Double Fine is sprucing up Psychonauts 2 with all of its Microsoft money. InXile is doing the same thing for Wasteland 3, which releases August 28. But InXile is also working on a bigger-budget game in the Unreal 5 engine.

Ninja Theory will definitely show more from Hellblade 2. Turn 10 could have a Forza game because you can’t launch a console without cars. And Rare may have something new in the works as well. But don’t expect anything from The Coalition, which just released Gears 5 in 2019.

In June 2013, Microsoft and Sony revealed the price and release date for their upcoming systems. We are already well into July without that info for the Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5. And I don’t expect that to change.

Microsoft is unlikely to share those details at this showcase — the timing for that is almost certainly when it unveils Lockhart in August. That’s when Spencer and his team will lay out the final details of their strategy. Until then, save your money for the preorders.

Probably.

Matt Booty said we'd see what the Initiative are doing this year, so it must be later in the year/game awards.

Though chances are we know what it's gonna look like already (third-person, stylised realism, cinematic), I was looking forward to seeing TI's game the most.

343's latest Community Update titled "Campaign Countdown"

Save the date! We’re excited to share what the team’s been working on – the first look at Halo Infinite’s Campaign is coming on July 23!

https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/news ... -countdown

Insider Shinobi says it will open the show and "Expect press previews/impressions afterwards as well.". I'm hoping they announce a 20min Halo only show in August for a dive into Warzone, Arena etc.

That’s great  I actually downloaded the desktop theme as well, the backgrounds are quite good for the most part, got them changing every 10 minutes.

Thankfully we’re not even two weeks away from this now :toot: I’m feeling rather excited for this event already, I normally only get like this for Nintendo directs and just kind of watch/enjoy them in the moment for Sony and Microsoft shows so Microsoft must be doing something right!

Love it that they’re not trying to temper expectations for this. Just think, in a week it’ll be very nearly over.

I think Aaron’s tweet is tempering expectations a little...
