Obviously we're an enthusiast crowd here, so I understand why it was included. But I didn't expect much, and got even less.
Oooh what a smug bellend.
EDIT: the Eurogamer guy, not Taf
It was a win win stab for Maf tbh
Rewatching the Halo footage and I still think it looks great, but it does look decidedly this gen. Not a massive problem, but it's an odd decision to launch a new console with a cross-gen game.
Rewatching the stream in 4k halo looks better to be fair. Feels like they've gone more for a smooth big open world and huge draw distance than full on amazing graphics though. Looks like gameplay could be a return to form and more like the earlier games though.

This will sound like a weird complaint but bits of the environment in the distance looked very blocky and Minecraft-y.

Halo looked pretty but well-trodden and Fable was a waste of a finale with that empty CGi thing.
Destiny 2 expansions on Game Pass is mighty tempting since I wouldn't have to pay money for Bungie's buff-nerf cycle: The Game
Apparently ALL the expansions will be free, but next year's Seasons will still cost you.
That's a shame. This means you'll only have a small window to play before you'll be power locked out of the experience. Great that it's on Gamepass though.

It would have been a bold move to make Infinite a next gen exclusive but I think it would have paid off.
It does look nice and if I'd have seen that gameplay preview 10 to 15 years ago I would have been massively excited for it. As it's on Game Pass I'll definitely play it but Halo doesn't get my blood pumping like it used to
Could have done with some more gameplay but a great show overall. I wanted to play almost everything shown and its all available on Game Pass. Highlights were Halo, Medium, Outer Worlds DLC & Crossfire X. Loking further ahead Fable, Avowed & SOD3.
At this point Xbox is merely a brand for people who only want Western games and can't envision a world without constant installments of Halo, Forza, Gears and Fable. They seem to have learned nothing and I genuinely think Series X will be a distant third place in the next console war.

If only they could have gotten some JRPGs like PSO or Dragon Quest...

Yes, we're all dying to play DQXI three years later.
Remember when Mass Effect was an Xbox exclusive? Or KOTOR? Those were amazing times.

Ah yes, those famous non-Western games made in the non-Western country of *checks notes* The United States of America
Google suggests 2010. So, 10-11 years (maybe more) between installments counts as "constant" now?
Pick those nits!
Happy to remove Fable if you wish, but 10 years later, Microsoft's true AAA titles are all from the same four franchises. Literally nothing else has broken through. So here we are again. How are the same franchises meant to turn the tide?
