Anything to do with games at all.

I wonder if they could just open the FPS boost option to all back compat games. I mean it’s optional as it is so users could choose… like auto HDR.

I thought some games have an fps limit, so they cannot be increased to 60fps?

They do, but that's what FPS Boost is about, getting around a game's FPS limit with system level stuff while not touching the original game code. The technique won't work with every game however, they test each game they think it will work with individually to make sure things don't break, and have to ask publishers to give it the green light too.

I would much rather be getting new original Xbox games on BC over these boosts but the fact they are putting all this effort into BC as a whole is fantastic, good work by MS

Now, let me play The Punisher and Silent Hill 2 on my Series X!

aayl1 joined me on GR discord at lunchtime for some xcloud stream banjo kazooie. It works so well, the tech is very impressive.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Yeah the original Silent Hill 2 isn't bc'd on Xbox One/Series X, just subpar HD collection one. Which is shame because I think I did play Xbox version of silent hill 2 (my brother had it) and it was great.

Latest is that about 70 titles will be boosted according to rumours.

Who should give a strawberry float about frame rate when we don’t have Binary Domain yet, that’s the real question we should be asking.

KOTOR is half-price this weekend. No idea what the frame rate is though.

Playing Recore at 60 with its HDR (not Auto HDR but I never played it on a HDR tv before) is kind of a revelation. Alien Isolation is downloading too.

The improvements in loading times running these FPS boost games off the internal drive is staggering. Recore used to take minutes, now it's about 20 secs to boot up

Tried a few, Alien Isolation and AC Unity are jaw dropping as both use Auto HDR and FPS boost along with the crazy fast load times.

Honestly, I've said it before but I'd take these FPS boosts over anything else in terms of enhancements.

I'm definitely going to finish Recore and Alien Isolation (again for AI's case)
