I've been rattling through a few of the boosted games. Dying Light is still too terrifying to play alone :shifty: (but I did finish it's main campaign back in the day), Primal was good as was AC 3 Remastered but I didn't keep them on hard drive long. AC Unity, Alien Isolation, Sleeping Dogs DE, Recore, FC5, and Watchdogs will be sticking around, not least because I haven't finished them all but at 60fps, they all play REALLY Well. They are all 1080p or under but man, those framerates are rock solid and I've genuinely loved playing them again, like a mini bunch of remasters.

Watchdogs 1 is the biggest surprise, I did always like it and I think I've most of the campaign done but walking about Chicago during a storm is still pretty. Gun fights and car chases are hectic and handbraking through the streets is exhilarating. The Autumn aesthetic works well also, head into the wilderness and the colours and leaves sets it apart from a few open world games, again the Auto HDR makes a big difference. I hated Watchdogs 2, the hipster vibe was unbearable and while Aiden Pearce isn't the deepest protagonist, I just prefer his story and the City over it's sequels.

Been playing some more of Tomb Raider DE and this still looks great. Previously completed on PS4 but the 60hz and auto HDR really make another play through irresistible. Still my pick of the last gen TR trilogy

The result? From playing the opening hours of the game, it performs near-perfectly on both Xbox Series X and S. Practically every major locale, including the fire-spewing dragon on the High Walls of Lothric, is delivered at a smooth 60fps. And yes, that applies to both consoles as by and large, Xbox Series S runs identically to Series X for the vast majority of play. The only exception I could find was a single, brief drop to 53fps during an early fight with a mutating creature on the Lothric roof. Heavy alpha effects buckle Series S only momentarily, while this spot's not an issue at all on Series X. The results are excellent all round, but Series X has a very slight edge in consistency with the fringe cases.

Still 900p due to no One X patch.

Love what their doing both with backwards compatibility and FPS boost!

There's definitely a few games on the I'll try out on my Series S! After I've picked up one of those new Switch OLED systems, I think I'll invest in a 120hz TV to make the most out of the Xbox. :simper:

Checked it out, it's jaggy AF but, originally it was a bit borked at 30fps which impacted actual gameplay so ill give this a go.

My wishlist is Outrun 2 and any of the PGR's but know it's extremely unlikely to happen. It's got to be something worthwhile instead of more iterations of previous BC titles

That's just the OG games where activity has been spotted on the storefront. It's not an exhaustive list. Can you imagine if they brought back Backwards Compatibility and that was all they announced? They'd get slaughtered.

I would be genuinely delighted at Gladius and Gunvalkyrie. They were both fantastic games, and I've still got the discs handy.

Next on my BC wishlist: Galleon, Gladius, Gunvalkyrie, Enclave and all the Splinter Cells.

It’s been quite a wait.

PGR 2, 3&4 would be my dream additions. Obviously OutRun 2 would be incredible but highly unlikely.
