Watching Jade Empire on Mixer, looks great.

Morrowind looks atrocious.

Edit: actually in First person it ain’t that bad, music is phenomenal.

Bought Jade Empire. Surprising it’s 6.7gb!

I was impressed with Jade Empire, apart from the UI and lack of wide screen you wouldn't notice it being so old.

Picked up Panzer Dragoon Orta. Haven't tried it as yet as the kids have commandeered the tele.

What's Blinx like? I've never played it, but it looks fun.

No it’s real time combat so far.

Blinx was shite even in 2003. Don't buy it for anything other than curiosity.

Is there a way to turn off the backwards compatibility inactivity timeout?

I've turned off the auto power off on inactivity options in the Xbox One power options, but if I leave Fable 3 running then after so long some kind of Xbox one Menu comes in from the right side of the screen and the game pauses in the background. This is really annoying as I want to leave Fable 3 running to build up money for the good ending, but if I leave it for more than 15 or so minutes then it pauses because of this menu coming in and so the money collection system stops.

Settings - Preferences - Idle options - untick show me things when idle.

Thanks, unfortunately it appears the problem is actually the controller timeout. As soon as the controller disconnects the game pauses. And sadly there's no option to change the timeout or disable that in the settings.

Not sure if this would work, but what about connecting the charging cable to the controller, might bypass the timeout so to speak?

Plug your controller in. Any USB cable will work.

Something odd about the Xbox store. None of these new original Xbox titles are showing up in the back catalogue listing. I had to manually search for Panzer Dragoon Orta. :?

Nope. Still turns off.
I did take out the batteries since I don't have rechargeables, but after I plugged it in I could turn the controller on no problem, but after a while it turned itself off again.

Go low tech and use an elastic band to hold forward and go to a corner and just keep walking into it?

That's strange, it should do the trick. Are you plugging the USB cable into the console, or into another power source like a wall adapter or a laptop USB port? It needs to be the console to keep the controller awake (it basically turns it into a wired controller, unlike the old 360 play & charge setup, where it powered through the cable but still operated wirelessly).

EDIT: For the same reason, it needs to be a USB cable that carries data, rather than just a charging cable. I guess most probably are, but that could be another reason it's not working.

Ah right, I was plugging it into a phone charger.
