Jade Empire is already back compat!!!

And I think it's on Game Pass if you have a PC. (Via EA.)

I always had the impression they were essentially the same, but with 7 having some extra stuff added. I never played 7, though, so can’t be sure.

Guys, you're in luck - Digital Foundry have just recently released this look at the "newer" Ridge Racers and it includes analysis of both RR6 and 7. It looks to be a pretty cool vid; I'm gonna check it out myself tonight.

Oh, and if you're wondering about how back compat treats RR6, Linneman has reported:

No worries.

Jade Empire: Special Edition shows up in Game Pass app on mobile for me, and console version shows up on MS store. (£9.19)

Binary Domain is £6.14 new for the "limited edition" on a site called rarewaves. Just ordered it.

T-H-R-I-L-L V-I-L-L-E THRILL! VILLE! LET'S GO!

I absolutely love Off The Rails, with its focus more on being within the park than the business management side of things, and now I get to play the original, as well. It's lovely that I'll get both of them to run through while hoping that one day a spiritual successor shows up to bring this type of game to the modern age. Or, maybe Frontier could perhaps give us a new one.

I read Thrillville as Thrill Kill and thought it was that brutal PS1 fighter that got banned

Just imagine if MS started doing BC for PS1 games.

I don't often miss the Series S's disc drive, but BC definity has me wishing I had that option.

I've got quite a lot of old 360 and original Xbox games, and physical copies tend to be really cheap, whereas digitally they tend to be pushing a tenner or so.

It's a shame that this is the "final" list, though they have said that before. Which high-profile games are still missing from the service?

I was also pleased to see Outpost Kaloki on the list. A lovely little management game. Only now I can't remember if I owned it digitally, or only as part of the Arcade Unplugged compilation disc (which I'm assuming won't run as BC). I may have to re-buy it.

Ah, yes. Think how salty the PS fanboys would be if Microsoft had better backward compatibility for the old PS consoles than Sony did.

Yeah, it was on GP for Console a while ago. I picked up on Sale at half price (€5).

I ordered my copy (BD) this morning (as detailed further up the page) I only had it on PS3 and thats now inaccessible to me.

Will be good to see it run @60 fps also. Nothing brings a game up to more modern standards than an FPS boost.

Edit - I ordered mine from rarewaves for about £6 delivered (new)

Hmph, CEX have immediately doubled their price for it. I’ve never heard of rarewaves, sound like an 80’s synth band.

Hmm RR6 is up on the US store but not the UK one. Hope it's up soon
