Can't wait till we get Forza 7 in 2 years time.

Smart selection with Gears/Torchlight sequels coming the following month. Also Forza 6 will probably be delisted soon.

I've heard good things about 6.

Hopefully that means cheap FM6 DLC in a few weeks. I have some credit expiring next week and at the end of the month

Does anyone else suffer from 'Magic Xbox' syndrome? Here is my story:

I bought a second hand X1 from Grainger Games (RIP) a few years ago, fully wiped and reset. I set it up and it was running perfectly for ages. Then I came home from work one day and noticed AC: Origins had downloaded itself into the console.
First I asked the kids if they had done anything, but the game did not show up on my purchases and I had not been billed.

My initial thoughts were my account had been hacked so I gave Microsoft a ring to see if they had any more info there end. Their very helpful customer service informed me everything was normal on my account, but that my Xbox serial no was probably still registered to the previous owner.

I'm sure many of you know that if you log into a friend's X1 and set it as your 'Home' machine they can access all your games and downloads for free? (If 2 of you do this it's a good way to save money) Microsoft Customer Service informed me this was a fully legit way of sharing purchases with friends.

It turned out the previous owner of my console has yet to set their new Xbox as their 'home' model so every game this stranger downloads pops up on my console as well as in the purchases section to download again! This has led to some right savings including ACO, No Man's Sky, Sekiro and lots of other big games.

Best of all his/her subscriptions carry over as well, so my Xbox One has free Xbox Live and free Game Pass, all legitimately shared unknowingly by another player. This has obviously saved me a ton of money and I wondered if anyone else had come across this phenomenon??

Haha what a melt. Just hope he never has kids, I used to gameshare with my brother but it's impossible if you want multiple accounts on your console.

For those of you that like your energy drinks, Microsoft are running another of their junk food promotions, this time with Rockstar Energy:

The promotion will run from September 1 across Rockstar Original, Xdurance and Punched Guava variants (both plain and 99p price-marked packs), offering consumers the chance to win in-game items for Gears 5 and free Xbox Game Passes.

To be in with a chance of winning, consumers will have to enter codes found on pull rings on promotional cans to http://www.gears.rockstarenergy.com/gb.

It must be brilliant to suddenly see a big new game in your download list! It's the small wins that make life a bit sweeter.

MS is launching a Gears-themed Xbox One X console. The special edition console and controller pack also comes with digital download codes for Gears 5 Ultimate Edition and Gears of War Ultimate Edition plus Gears of War 2, 3 and 4. All the Gears!

If you buy Gears 1 remastered or Gears 4 you get all the gears games for free, plus they all were free with gold over the years (for keepsies too) and they all on Gamepass.

What I will say though is that Gears 2 & 3 are now 4K on X1X and look pretty swish.

Yeah, no point buying this console because of that.

Chill. Literally pointed out that 2 of the games will be 4K on that particular console.

There was actually an update for Gears 3 the other day, wonder what it was for. I'd love that Gears themed X though.

It was just a general Backwards Compatibilty emulator update, a load of 360 games got updated.

Just emulator updates, a few 360 games have gotten them recently.
