My OG Xbone is dead.

I’m going to get a new one, but is there anything I should do with my broken console? I can’t power it up to wipe it, should I take it apart and remove the hard drive before disposing of the console, or is it safe to just chuck the whole thing away?

Is it definitely dead? I thought mine was, but it was the power supply.

If it is deffinetly dead then save your power supply and wires either in case you need them or a buddy needs them. I would also remove the hard drive and then go on amazon or ebay and buy a cheap usb 3 hardrive caddy as you can turn your internal 500gig hardrive into an external hardrive to add a little room to the new one you buy, thats what I did when mine died.

Cheers lads.

Yeah it’s definitely dead, the power supply seems ok, I’ve tried it with another power lead and it’s still dead.

Turning the hard drive into an external one is a great idea and very on brand for GRcade.

2016s must-have fashion accessory is back with a new look and now also available in the UK, the Xbox Hooded Union Suit aka Xbox onesie aka a "bold fashion piece" and costs £64.99 -

The Xbox Hooded Union Suit delivers a whole lot of comfort – and style – for your game-filled days and nights.

Suit up for major gameplay

The sentimental staple gets a cool-kid makeover, plus some serious-gamer cred with the official Xbox Hooded Union Suit. Designed for the loud-and-proud gamers, it boasts three separate pockets for an Xbox One controller, TV remote and phone. And the big sewn Xbox sphere applique on the back ensures the world knows where you stand.

Rethinking Casual Friday

Sure, your boss might hate it, but deep down you know it’s because they wish they had one, too. Made of 100% polyester, this bold fashion piece is certain to clear the pavement and leave strangers beside themselves with envy.

Comfort is the new black

Designed for long nights spent conspiring and battling with frenemies near and far, this loosely fitted hooded union suit keeps you snug and cosy through every campaign. Just be sure to add a little extra time for breaks.

I personally like it for colours used alone, but the pockets are bit meh.

Also £65 no thanks

Maybe Microsoft can now look at also bringing back their (in many cases) vastly superior sports games Links, Top Spin, NFL Fever, Amped, NBA Inside, and Rallisport Challenge.

Is there likely to be another operating system update before Christmas? There looks like there's one in testing for alpha people which fixes the issues people who have a huge amount of content on their system are having. It stops the Xbox working which has what's been happening to my X the last few weeks, the only fix I've found is keep restarting the console until it finally becomes responsive. I really hope they release it before Christmas :(

Recently (It's updating now) I've been hit with a system update a few times a week so hopefully it'll stop soon as it takes bloody ages.

Today we are excited to announce that the Undead Labs Studio Head and Founder, Jeff Strain, is launching an exciting new initiative. As anyone who has played State of Decay knows, big ideas don’t always come from the biggest cities or the flashiest neighborhoods. Sometimes the heroes come from places like Marshall or Spencer’s Mill. That’s why game development needs a bigger base, where the know-how, grit, and ideas of even more people can find their way to the public. As a small town guy himself, Jeff is dedicated to opening a new studio and a partnered broad-discipline game development academy in New Orleans, Louisiana. With the support of Xbox and Microsoft, Jeff’s going to continue in his role as studio head at Undead Labs while also building opportunities to bring in people who might not otherwise consider a career in the game industry. Maybe even someone with the vision for the next State of Decay is out there just waiting for the right opportunity! That’s all we can say for now, but we’ll share more information as soon as we can.

Never :x .
I'm the ultimate bad boy but I also like to help save electric by not having my console in sleep mode.

This is quite neat: the Game Pass iPhone app has been updated: you can now see what is installed on your console, and remotely delete games to create space.

It’s a bit hidden though: go to the Profile tab, then the top-right settings cog, and select Manage console.

If you’ve got multiple drives attached, it only seems to show the default-download drive, which I guess makes sense.

I think Game Pass will be fantastic for next gen as usually when a new machine is released I'm stuck with only a few games at launch but we should have access to a pretty solid list of next gen games to try.
I really hope Flight Simulator is one of them as I think it may be the best showcase game and be nice and relaxing to just fly about some iconic scenery and enjoy the views.

I'm assuming they'll have a bundle with maybe a years sub for super cheap or some other similar offer.

No chance it will launch with a years sub to gp, just the obligatory 1month free.
