Looks like a wonky panda. I like it. Might upgrade from my original Elite.

Original Xbox for me. First game I remember playing on it was Halo. Whilst it didn't blow me away as much as it did others (Half Life fan), it was obvious that this console could do so much more than the PS2 from the moment you played it. Strangers Wrath was an amazing game and I bought the GTA Double Pack and enjoyed improved graphics from the PS2 version of Vice City, even if the controls sucked (using those pesky black and white buttons to shoot out of the windows of cars if I remember rightly).

Of course the true killer feature of the OG Xbox was Live. The quality of the service was well above and beyond what Sony was offering. Project Gotham Racing was so much fun! I have long intended to get back into Xbox consoles, but I've never really had the spare money and cash to justify multiple consoles since. I've definitely missed a few big games in the process.

The silly neighbourhood vegetable.

I wonder if we will get anything announced for the 10th anniversary of Forza Horizon in October?

I picked up a Series S off ebay the other week to put in the spare room as a secondary console. Finally turned up yesterday, so spent a little while copying stuff across to it. Wasn't sure about how little storage it has, considering it's a digital-only machine, but I've got a pretty decent amount of stuff on so far. Pretty mad that it's 512GB, but you only get 360-odd of usable space  Definitely won't be installing Flight Sim on there any time soon! The storage card makes transferring stuff across so easy, too - Half an hour later and the drive's full and it's ready to go :toot:

I'm legitimately flabbergasted they managed to get it so slim. I knew it was smaller than the One S, but I didn't realise how much smaller it was  Wonder if you can get a little screen for it like you used to be able to get for the Gamecube back in the day  Had a whale of a time playing Rogue Squadron in the car as a kid.

Will take it for a test drive tonight with some Halo 5 co-op. I was the only person in my squad playing on a last-gen machine, so hopefully it works a little better now!

Yes! :toot: I'm pretty sure I'd never get any chance to use it, but I'm glad that stuff like that still exists.

Someone else that gets it!

I’d played it many times beforehand but I properly invested in it during lockdown where it (and Fable 2) became a bit of a lifesaver during the darker days. I now have the soundtrack on whenever I drive and the missus and kids know the words to every track from Horizon Pulse.

Got the stream on in the background at work, but for some reason even though there's an option for subtitles, nothing actually pops up for me. Can't even switch it to the dreadful youtube automated subs, so I'm basically just watching a bunch of people mouthing at each other interspersed with the same few gameplay clips :slol:

Gives me something to watch, at least...

Anyone know if the HD version of MGS Peace Walker is good? It’s been on my list for ages and finally gone on sale (67%) off so might just go for it, keep meaning to get the MGS Phantom Pain definitive edition when that goes on sale too. Sadly never got around to buying the MGS 2&3 HD double pack before its gone off sale (hopefully only for a while and not for good!).

Given the PlayStation price increase, wondering whether it's worth buying a Series X now, in case Microsoft also decide to raise the price? I don't need one yet, but will get one eventually, and would rather get it cheaper.

They officially said they have no plans to raise the price yesterday...
