CrossfireX, the western adaptation of Asian mega-hit Crossfire, will launch on Xbox Series X on Feb. 10, Smilegate announced at The Game Awards 2021. Remedy Entertainment (Control) is developing two single-player campaign operations for the game.

CrossfireX was first announced at E3 2019 and given a 2020 launch date for Xbox One. After an open beta in the summer of 2020, Smilegate announced the following November that the game had been delayed into 2021. Thursday’s announcement did not mention Xbox One in CrossfireX’s launch plans.

Remedy’s contributions, two missions called Operation Catalyst and Operation Spectre, will be available in CrossfireX at launch. Pricing wasn’t given for that, however, “CrossfireX also features fully-featured multiplayer modes that will be free-to-play on Xbox platforms,” Smilegate said in a statement.

It's also coming to XB1.

This limited edition bundle includes: a numbered, laser-engraved console; two customized Xbox controllers; an Xbox and Gucci branded carry case; and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

An evolution of the original Gucci Rhombi design from the '30s, the GG pattern becomes a wordplay—not only representing Guccio Gucci's initials but also the gaming phrase 'Good Game.'

$10,000. Doesn't tell you how long the Game Pass lasts though, so who's to say if it's good value or not...

It seems that these are currently going for around £18k in the pre-owned market. Might be worth selling if any GRcadians picked 'em up...

Confirmed.

Will add Radiant Silvergun to play occasionally but suck at every time.

I was wondering if anyone here had taken the plunge and bought one of those Seagate SSD cards for their new Xbox? I know they’re expensive but the speed, silence and extra storage has me super tempted. I have several external HDDs but I often keep them unplugged now as their whirr is more noticeable when used with my Series X than it was with my One X. I guess my main reservation is that we might soon see 2tb or 4tb cards leading to buyers remorse. While the price is high, I’ve received some Amazon credit for Christmas so I’m choosing to ignore that and choosing to view it as someone else’s money

Yeah, I’ve had one for a while. The way I look at it is that it’s the capacity the Series X should have shipped with, but they obviously had to keep costs down. I could afford it, so for the convenience it was worth it. Not sure if I’ll upgrade to a 2TB or not yet.

Is anyone else still having problems using Quick Resume with games that rely on an internet connection? Halo Infinite is huge pain in the backside at the minute. Aside from exiting from the campaign to the Halo main menu to find it’s disconnected itself from the online service (without fail), it also never reconnects to the online service after the game is quick resumed. I’m not sure if it’s Halo causing the problem or something more fundamental with the quick resume functionality. I just wish there was a 'online reconnect' button or something.

I’ve spotted a similar issue with Horizon 5, but only very infrequently. Fortnite seems to work around it by forcing an online handshake when it’s quick resumed.

QUESTION!

The Countdown sale MS Rewards points punchcard (4000 points for spending £30)... is it only decent value, or is it such good value that I should participate even though there's not much I want in the sale. (Maybe Witcher 3 GotY and Diablo 2.)

It’s OK value if there’s stuff you already want. If you turn the points into credit, they’re worth about £3.40.

I too was tempted by Diablo 2, but it’s going to go much cheaper, if Diablo 3 is anything to go by, so I decided to wait. I already wanted Little Nightmares 2 and the Blizzard Collection, and the sale prices were good enough. Witcher 3 is amazing value, and there’s a Series X upgrade on the way.

Thank you! That helped make sense of the value of the points on offer. Will just pick up W3 GotY.

And what’s the betting it won’t work at launch but needs several patches to repair its broken, incomplete launch state?

I got a Series S for Christmas to catch up on various games I've missed since the original console, and with a cheap Gamepass subscription it's fantastic value for money. Currently playing through the Halo MCC, alongside the odd race in Forza and online game in Halo Infinite. Quick Resume is such a good feature that I'd underrated before actually using it, they need to add this to a PS5 update asap.

I wish Quick Resume was 100% reliable. Or at least compatible with more than 75% of games. If it was, it would be one of the best features ever. As it is, for me, it's too unreliable and inconsitent to give me any peace of mind.

Even the most recent console excluive title (The Gunk) comes out of QR with loads of audio stutter for a good 30 seconds.
