Get on Thrillville if you haven't played it before. It's absolutely great, not so much as a theme park manager, but the fact everything is playable in the park.

Currently unable to load up the Rewards page on a browser (when you click on the medal on the top right it fails to load the dropdown box) and on the app the daily poll and quiz is failing to register upon completion.

My 262 day streak is on the line here!

Came here to say the same. It's generally pretty broken, and looking at Reddit it sounds like it's global.

But it DOES work fine if you use the Xbox console's Bing browser. So maybe they've put in something stupid that only works on their own software. I can't install the Bing browser on my old Mac, but it might be worth a try if you can.

Seems to be working as "well" as it used to this morning (which is to say I have to click every card twice for them to show the tick, but searches register instantly).

It seems that that the acquisition means that one of the first things happening is that Proletariat are shutting down that Spellbreak game... despite "the millions of players who have joined us in the Hollow Lands since 2018".

I'd like someone to explain why it's better to pay out for an entire company and then shut down all its projects, instead of just hiring more staff.

World player count recently was just over 300 players.

It was always going to get shut down, buying a cohesive team with a structure and management in place is way easier and faster than building teams from the ground up.

I might be in the minority here but I would like to see XBOX Live Indie Games come back in some capacity. For those that don't remember it was a store on 360 separate from XBOX Live Arcade selling low price games (usually a couple of quid) from indie developers. There was a lot of dross on there which isn't surprising considering there were over 3000 titles on the service but a lot of good stuff too. I have fond memories of I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MBIES 1N IT!!!1 (by Ska Studios) and Try Not to Fart.

Maybe because they can be sure of getting already highly skilled people?
Seems like an expensive way of doing that though.

I've been outta the Xbox scene for a few years now but aren't indie titles now included in the main Xbox store? Certainly on the Nintendo and PlayStation Stores, they're awash with indie/cheap titles!

No, these were all titles made with Microsofts XNA software. The store and software were both closed down entirely in 2013 in preparation for the release of XBONE I believe.

Some titles might have made it to Steam but I'm not sure.

Yeah, it looks like Microsoft closed that indie scheme in late 2017. The development tools/approach kinda sounds like Sony's old Yaroze on the original PlayStation.

I remember that service mostly because we didn’t have it in Ireland for some reason.

They didn't have it in Australia either. Something about all content being released unrated which just isn't allowed there.

Playing Xbox games on 2022 Samsung Smart TVs is a seamless experience. To make sure you’re ready to game, here’s what you’ll need:

To access the Xbox app, you’ll need one of Samsung’s 2022 Smart TVs.

To play the hundreds of cloud-enabled games in the Game Pass library, you’ll need an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership.

If you don’t have a membership and want to try the experience for yourself before you sign up, you can play Fortnite for free without an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership.

Almost any Bluetooth-enabled controller will work with the Xbox app, like the Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, Elite Series 2 Controller, or the DualSense controller.

There was a nice Xbox Live enabled version of Z0MBIES released back in the day on Windows Phone. Would probably be the definitive version if you could actually play it.
