Currently being tested by Xbox Insiders -

Party Chat – Noise Suppression

We've enabled a new feature which will process your microphone input through a noise suppression step to help produce cleaner audio in your Party Chat session. The setting is enabled by default but can be toggled from the dropdown options menu.

Oof, what’s MS going to have now for 2022?

Forza Motorsport (maybe) and plenty of DLCs and expansions for current games.

Forza Motorsport would do me nicely to be alongside random bits and bobs off of Game Pass alongside F1 22. Obviously it’s not great news but I’d much rather have better games on launch rather than something rushed and releases like Cyberpunk 2077.

Have seen people on Twitter complaining that they subbed to GP based on the lies of MS releasing Starfield this year  holy hell

We could get that rumoured Gears collection this year, not fantastic as you can play the OG games on XsX anyway but if they have some nice upgrades that will be neat.

Disappointing but I'll live. Forza "8", Forza Horizon expansion, Halo Infinite "BR", Grounded 1.0, As Dusk Falls & Deathloop probably for the rest of the year. Maybe Josh Sawyers game, Gears remake & Wolfenstein 3 plus whatever Game Pass brings. Wonder what knock on it'll have for the ton of 2023 games they have.

Still got to play Eden Ring, Doom Eternal, Assassins Creed Valhalla to play anyway so I'll be fine.

You could replace the joystick switches which is easy enough to do and will only cost a couple of quid on ebay

Reading around a little more and you can switch out the springs in the switches instead of desoldering the whole unit off the board. But it doesn't look like you can buy the springs separately. Couple of the analogue sticks are only £4.50 so I'm going to buy those off ebay, switch up the springs first and if that doesn't work then probably just buy a small soldering iron and desolderer. Can't really lose anything because one of the controllers is virtually useless now due to the excessive drift.

Looking around wireless XBox controllers and there doesn't seem to anything on the market aside from the official ones anyway.

Literal. What.
Why would you subscribe months in advance for a game and one game only that doesn't even have a release date at present? That's clearly on them, if it's genuine and not just complaining for the sake of it.

I suspect they'll have something up their sleeves for E3 the Xbox and Bethesda showcase. Failing that they'll just chuck a load of megatons on Game Pass instead.

It’s beside the point that Game Pass is cracking value even at full price even without the likes of Starfield and Redfall on there

I once bought a Wii U because of a trailer for a Zelda game that didn't have a release date :shifty:

Though I don't complain about it as it was all my doing and I learned not to buy a console for a game that wasn't even out yet.

At least you had a growing collection of games for the console. Unless you never bought another game for it and used it as a doorstop while waiting for that one specific game.

Not the console, but the Gamepad was good as a door wedge once you’d bashed it under the edge

I remember the jokes people made about it being a door stop when it was first revealed.

It wasn't even weighty enough to be a door stop.

Better than having a deadweight you'd never use. And you still got to play that Zelda anyway.

Yeah, if you wanted a good door stop a broken first gen 360 is what you want.

Just have to proper kick it under! Then with the wedge shape it’d easily slide in and out :datass:
