:toot:

Me: It says "HDR". Where's the HDR?! *black hole explodes* Ah.

Oh, I'm taking the posting of that leaderboard as a challenge.

I'll be lucky if I get close to Parksey's score

Rumour -

Josh Sawyer Obsidian game details from Jeff Grubb -

Focusing on experimental mechanics and interactions.
It's still being developed by a small team.
16th century Europe setting.
Still planned to have no combat.
Murder mystery RPG. You will be investigating a murder by talking to people and building a case. You can accuse people of murder. You will possibly continue to play even if you get it wrong and see the consequences.
Planned to be coming out in 2022.

I knew something wasn't *quite right* with my telly settings since hooking up the Xbox, but I was more interested in playing the bloody thing than fannying about with the TV. Just sorted it out now and it was the colour temp setting or something. For some reason it was on Warm 2. Stuck it on Warm 1 and the sorted it.

Currently playing the new CoD, and the flashbang-like effects in the forest are probably the best use of HDR I've seen on the console. But the windmill on fire felt like a missed opportunity; it looked really impressive in the distance and while approaching it, but, then... they did nothing with it :? Would have been pretty cool if it was still turning, or if one of the sails came crashing down, etc.

I always thought that line was just from Blazing Saddles. Always struck me as being a bit odd.

I just went to check that on mine, but I can't find that setting anywhere. So many menus!

I was watching HDTVTest and Vincent likes that setting! It's not one he says everyone should use, but it's closer to some standard or other. Anyway! You'll find it here (on the CX): Picture Mode Settings > Advanced Controls > White Balance > Colour Temp.

He says Medium is too blue. And looking at it again, I think he's right. But Warm2 is too... red? Brown? So I compromised and went with Warm 1.

What's your model number? There should be calibration settings online or YouTube for it.

It's the LG CX. I've got all the big settings (4K UHD HDR Dolby Vision 120 FPS) sorted, but the picture tweaks I'm happy leaving to my own tastes.

Here are the calibration settings for that set

I don't know about LGs but you might need to replicate the settings for each AV channel. I did on my Panasonic as each channel on my Tv has their own settings stored.

My son has completely knackered the right hand stick on my Xbone controller. :x It works but is constantly drifting upwards and is driving me insane.

I don't fancy paying £50+ for another one that he'll only break again. Are there any decent (or half decent!) third party controllers that are cheap and will tide me over until he learns not to smash things?

Buy yourself an Elite and make him carry on using the one he broke.

Take it apart and give it a clean with some contact cleaner.

I assumed he's broken it, but that's worth a go. Cheers.

I did it to mine the other week, its pretty easy to do if you have the right screw head.
