I've bought an Xbox Series X. Got it on the John Lewis website for £15 off RRP for members. Should be with me in a week.

Cannot wait. So many games I want to play and play again. Will be getting Game Pass and I'm currently saving up for a good monitor.

Portal 2? That's awesome! I remember it being on Gold a couple of years back, but a weird issue with my sub meant I could never download the 360 or OG Xbox games. Somehow I resolved that in the end so it's great to know I have not completely missed out.

I had been thinking about picking up the Switch version as I know it is 60fps etc, but a mate of mine has an Xbox and Game Pass so conceivably we could play through the online co-op together at last.

Double Kick was very disappointing (timing was close to impossible on anything but the easiest difficulty level and it never felt "good" to play). Don't know much about the other two.

Yeah, that will be plenty good enough for my requirements given the nature of Portal 2 gameplay. Cheers.

Out of nowhere, Zero Time Dilemma just got released on Xbox! Not in Game Pass, unfortunately, but I'll happily pay £15.

It's funny because a couple of gens ago it was because of Fable, along with Forza (and a couple of others) that I got bored of Xbox, but now I find myself not only looking forward to a new Fable game but one which is being made by the Forza team Funny how things work out.

I regard Fable 2 as one of the best games ever made. It’s not perfect but I love how it simultaneously streamlines and blows a raspberry to more po-faced RPGs.

I’ll assume the next one is being built around the idea of ongoing engagement like Forza Horizon is but so long as it keeps that sense of humour that makes it so engaging I’m there.
