I hope its not all just Microsoft pimping the ability to stream Game Pass on to every device known to mankind in the near future. It is very clever but it's not very inspirational or emotive to me. Some of the headlines today have me worried that this might take a substantial chunk out of their presentation time.

It's the equiviliant of Nintendo dedicating time to Smash character reveals.

?? They've got this out of the way for the E3 show... as in, it won't be part of the presentation on Sunday, almost the exact opposite of what you posted.

So long as though thats that's the case and it hasn't "leaked" ahead of the conference, i'm happy. But yeah, i can't imagine anyone at MS would think that this sort of announcement is what people want to hear as an E3 headline. They have learnt the hard way.

This wasn't leaked, this was recorded specifically to come out now, it has a few Xbox Wire articles that went out with it.

Don't get me wrong, Xbox can get the tone in shows wrong but I honestly think any Gamepass talk at E3 will be about games only.

Do you actually edit your replies to make them more antagonistic?

Presumably to stop any "Microsoft will go streaming-only/Xbox Series is the last console generation" talk early on.

Asobo seems the most likely but rumors of Sega won't go away.

Apparently there might be a 'medium' team acquisition announced Sunday, or at least an IP belonging to a non Xbox dev.

Don’t worry, he’ll spin it into MS admitting that the Series consoles have failed because they are already looking at replacing them.

Yeah I remember the Sega rumours, that would be pretty damn big if they got them.

After pulling off Bethesda (kenneth.jpg) it's easy to believe any rumour about who MS might be acquiring next!

Satya Nadella and Phil Spencer seem like a pretty good team for Xbox, feeling a lot more positive about the platform these days.

Jeff Grubb is saying the rumour is IO, Avalanche and Crytek have been acquired.

IO with massively increased funding could be interesting. Crytek are one of those companies where you wonder what they even are anymore. I feel like they've not really put out a real game since Ryse, which was 8 years ago almost.

Just Cause with CryEngine would be interesting.

Our Second Summer Game Fest Demo Event Coming June 15 to an Xbox Near You

Last Summer, we presented our first ever ID@Xbox Summer Game Fest Demo event as part of Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest promotion. The feedback we received from fans was amazing! As a result, we’re excited to partner with Summer Game Fest again this year to give you another opportunity to discover lots of new games coming to Xbox.

Starting June 15 and running through June 21, you’ll be able to try out over 40 demos of upcoming unreleased games for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S!

A few things to keep in mind:

These are not normal “game demos.” Typically, the demos you see in our Demo channel are created after the game is completed (or nearly completed) and represent the final version. Many of these demos are early, and some are for games that won’t be out for quite some time. Think of these as akin to “show floor demos” and not necessarily indicative of the final product. What that means is that you’ll get to experience these games early – some way early – which is awesome, but you should also note that these games will continue to evolve and be polished as they near release.

These demos will only be up on the Xbox Dashboard for a week. Some might be re-published to the Demo channel later, but many will simply evaporate at the end of the week, so make sure to check them out while you can.
The developers would love to hear what you think. Hit them up on social media or through their websites. If you like the game – tell them! If you have constructive criticism, they would love to hear that too.

We’ll announce the full list closer to June 15, but here are some highlights to set your eyes on:

Sable, Lake, The Riftbreaker, Echo Generation, Tunic - https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2021/06/10/ ... -near-you/
