Yes mine seemingly registers things at random. Unlocked a few achievements and they didn't register until a few hours later.

Same here. I also find the "play a game pass" 5 point achievement rarely works if booting a game from Quick Resume. Doubly so if you start the game before 5pm (when the Reward resets).

Microsoft is limiting Xbox Game Pass subscription extensions in certain countries to deter players from stacking their membership at a cheaper rate.

Using digital codes or gift cards, Game Pass subscriptions can be extended to a maximum of 36 months to ensure players are covered without needing to pay each month.

However, a select number of countries are now excluded from this due to the lower cost of the subscription based on exchange rates.

Those countries are: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Singapore, Taiwan, and Turkey.

Here the limit is instead 13 months. This is for Game Pass Core, Game Pass for Console and PC Game Pass, and does not impact Game Pass Ultimate.

EA Play can also be extended to a maximum of 36 months except in Argentina and Turkey where the limit is 13 months.

According to Xbox-Now, a price comparison for Game Pass shows it costs significantly less in these countries.

For instance, where Game Pass Core costs $9.99 per month, this equates to $8.78 in the UK. In Turkey, though, that's just $4.92, while in Argentina it's $4.97.

This change, therefore, is likely to stop players outside of these countries from extending Game Pass by purchasing subscriptions at these lower rates.

I've not done it but I think some have here.

I just noticed that they've changed the wording of that one (I think). It now mentions that it has to be an installed game, and you have to play for 15 minutes.

Does anyone have experience of getting a locked rewards account reinstated? No idea why mine had been locked but I can't currently redeem anything.

Guessing you'll have to contact support. Do I remember you having region issues locking your main account, or was that someone else?

Might be someone else. Problem with contacting support is that you can only do it with a form and because my account is locked, so is the form.

Had a notification on Bing this morning that I was being limited to points on 3 searches per 15 minutes. Turns out this wasn’t the case, but I’m guessing it will be tomorrow or soon after.

Brilliant.

I just looked at the form, and it's over-writable. Maybe you could create a dummy account just to access the form, then type in the details of your real account.

They might as well write "Please stop using Bing now".

When they've blocked my ability to earn points, I've just had to wait 24 hours for it to become automatically unlocked again. Happens when their systems think I'm not in UK or using a VPN, despite being in the UK and not using a VPN. In that instance complaining to customer service got me nowhere, they were adamant I'd left the UK. You can't win in that scenario. They're either just lying or their systems are feeding them incorrect information that they refuse to believe is false (hello Mr. Post Office, is that you).

Exactly. Anyway, this “limitation” has still not been applied to my account. Maybe the intern responsible for running Bing has forgotten.

Dungeons of Hinterberg looks really good so happy to see more of that, I’ve signed up for the technical test next month too. Will definitely check this out.

Yeah, I've been watching Dungeons of Hinterberg for a while now (the Curve twitter posts a lot about it) and it looks great. Hopefully we'll get a release date.

I have recently been reminded that the online storage for xbox captures will soon (end of May) be removed after 30 days, so I assume anything above the limit on my one drive will cease to exist.

With this in mind, what is the easiest way to back up all my precious gaming memories? I don't think there is a way to transfer all the captures to my Series X drive (if i'm wrong then please tell me how to do so). Do I need to use a flash drive etc and transfer everything form my one drive / captures app before the end of May? And then going forward do the same within 30 days of taking a capture?

I'm sure my Xbox use to save the pictures locally as well as on cloud storage (I know the PS5 does). Is there really no way of doing this still?

I never managed to get this form to work but my account suddenly started working again last night (though it did ask me to add a phone number). Got a tenner towards Dredge so it's all good.

I've no idea but this might help: https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/help/gam ... 20captures.

It must be in the settings, because mine only saves locally. If I want a capture in the cloud, I have to manually choose to upload it.

thanks both - it looks like that article is exactly what I needed  Work was blocking the site earlier so I could not find the info out, but now it seems to be working.

Hopefully disabling the auto upload will mean that in the future they just sit on the Xbox then. Not sure about being able to get the ones that have already been uploaded back on the xbox though. I'm going to read that link now.

Edit - reading that link suggests that nothing ever gets removed from your Xbox, just copied. So why cant I find any captures saved locally to my Xbox that are more than 30 days old?
