I then get booted back to the main game menu (game in question is D4). Not sure if this applies to other games. The game does not fully exit to be clear, it's kind of equivilant to selecting a "quit to main menu" option in a game. Kind of annoying as it's a long load time from the main menu.
Is this a common issue? Game specific?
Thanks if anyone can help....
Do you have 'instant on' mode set up on your Xbox One or are you turning it fully off?
Some games are a bit prone to glitching out when doing the automatic resume, but they're usually the online multiplayer type titles. Not sure why D4 should cause a problem.
Instant on is...on. Will try a different game and see if the same issue occurs there. Bit of a shame as I love the resume feature on my PS4 and it has never gone wrong for me in 3 years. Have also done a full power cycle.
Just down to Xbones OS being unbelievably wank. Its shockingly gooseberry fool. I've never really been able to have instant on....on because it would cause constant disconnections with the controller, having that option off fixes it. gooseberry fool as it's happened on both my OG Bone and with my current X.
Hmm, thats disappointing. I have it set up so that the controller instantly logs me on. I always get the Hi message on reboot, but its almost like in logging me in, it has logged me out first, and that has screwed up the suspended game state. No other users are registered to the console. Im using Ethernet connection and downloads continue fine when in standby. Just not the suspend resume function.
Really disappointing, as i'm loving the rest of the Xbox experience. Even bought a nice fancy oled tv yesterday to make the most of it.
There definitely are some people who are using suspend mode reliably though right?
