I must have been the only person who was really hyped for the Xbox One launch. I used to watch all my TV on the 360 thanks to the Sky Go app and I used all the voice control media features. The idea of 'Xbox On' and Snap and all the other dropped features I thought were amazing. I used to love how the Kinect camera zoomed into whoever was talking on Skype calls.

Dang, the 20th anniversary controller looks fine. Even though I use PlayStation consoles I gotta say that Microsoft's special controller designs often look far more attractive than Sony's, IMHO.

I'm sort of tempted by one of those ridiculously expensive internal storage cards. I only have stuff on my internal drive that needs to run off it, and I move games I'm done with, but Flight Sim, Forza Horizon 4 and 5 and F1 2021 are over 400gb between them. I suppose FH4 is the obvious one to move, but I still go back to previous Horizon games quite a bit.

I've been tempted for the past few weeks, too. Hoping there might be some decent black friday discounts. Probably no chance, though :slol:

They were about £60 off on amazon eu (even with the taxes added) a few months back, so it's not impossible.

I keep toying with the idea of picking up one, but the way i play my games (happy to delete them if i have not played them for a month or two) means they will probably never get down to a price point i can justify.

At the moment i'm more tempted by an Elite Controller (i think the Series X controller is starting to give me sore hands), but I know a Version 3 will be announced the moment I do. I guess I will go back to the One X controller for now and see if things improve.

Yup. Space is very tight. GTA V will be moved back to the external drive very soon, as I can't justify that taking a second 100GB of space on the internal even if load times are pretty instant. The next year will have a few games I'll be getting that will need to be on the internal. It gets very tempting every time a new game is released.

If they release the 2TB expansion card soon, I might have a 1TB up for sale...

Streamlabs is bringing their web-based streaming platform exclusively to Xbox consoles.

Streaming to Twitch is already possible on consoles but customisation is limited.

With Streamlabs Studio, streamers will be able to stream direct from their Xbox and utilise viewer engagement tools and overlays just like PC players, including alerts and widgets.

Streamers can access the tool through the Twitch app on console by selecting Streamlabs, and then access the customisation options before going live.

What's more, Streamlabs Studio uses cloud capture, so that streamers can also access the tools and control their streams directly from their phone or tablet without the need for capture cards or desktop at all.

"In the past, creating professional broadcasts and engaging viewers from a console has been challenging," said Ashray Urs, Streamlabs' Head of Product.

"With Streamlabs Studio, you can transform console gameplay into a high-quality live stream production with viewer engagement tools to interact with your community."

Streamlabs Studio is available for $4.99/month or $49.99 annually. There's also a free seven day trial.

For more information, visit the Streamlabs Studio website.

That was an excellent list of games to bring the BC updates to an end with.

Same here. Grcade occupying at least 2 of the top 500.

The gift shop is farcical. Our $35 converts to £26. Then sales tax is added, and £12 for international shipping! We actually get to spend £10, and it’s all junk anyway.

November Xbox Update: Color Filters, Audio Settings, Accessibility Feature Tags, and More

Team Xbox is excited to continue bringing new ways to make Xbox better, with you at the center, as we refine the experience and deliver brand new features based on your feedback. This month’s update includes new and improved color filters on Xbox Series X|S, updated volume and audio output settings, new accessibility feature tags in the Microsoft Store, a controller firmware update, updates to the Xbox app (mobile), and an updated Xbox Game Pass layout to help you choose the best subscription plan for you. In addition to new features, today’s update also has fixes reducing console shutdowns and improving stability of Xbox Series X consoles when playing titles such as NBA 2K22, FIFA 22, and Battlefield 2042. We will continue to support EA to improve Battlefield 2042 stability.

Updated volume and audio output settings for all Xbox consoles

A new streamlined audio experience is now available for all Xbox consoles with options like “Mute speaker audio when headset attached” in Additional options and a new Audio testing & details screen.

The volume and audio output settings have been reorganized to make relevant settings easier to access and help optimize your audio experience. To get started, go to Settings > Audio testing & details. You can check what your audio setup supports and reset if necessary.

Controller firmware update

The new firmware update for the Xbox One Wireless Controller with Bluetooth support, Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, and Xbox Adaptive Controller delivers next-gen features previously available only on Xbox Series X|S controllers, including better cross-device connectivity and reduced latency. We believe it’s important to maintain backward compatibility with Xbox accessories people already have in their collection to ensure we deliver the best gaming experience no matter how you choose to play.

Better cross-device connectivity – These controllers now support Bluetooth Low Energy which delivers better compatibility across devices and allows for better pairing experiences. You’ll be able to play wirelessly on Windows 10 & 11 PCs, iOS 15+, and Android devices with Bluetooth LE for Xbox remote play from your console or cloud gaming with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on the go. After installing the firmware update, these controllers will remember one Bluetooth host (e.g., smartphone) and one Xbox Wireless host (e.g., Xbox console), so you can seamlessly switch between previously connected devices with a simple double tap of the Pair button.

Reduced latency – We’re also bringing the innovation of Dynamic Latency Input (DLI) to our Xbox One Wireless Controller with Bluetooth support, Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, and Xbox Adaptive Controllers. Dynamic Latency Input delivers controller inputs more efficiently to your Xbox console for a more responsive gaming experience and seemingly instantaneous action.

Xbox app (mobile) -– Link sharing and trending

Several new features will be rolling out soon to the Xbox app. We want to make it as easy as possible to share your game captures with friends, wherever they happen to be. Link sharing is coming soon and lets you quickly get a link to your epic game moments and screen captures and share them anywhere across the internet.

Also Cloud gaming came to Xbox One/S/X & Series X/S today for those easy reward points - https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2021/11/17/ ... n-console/
