Jeff Grubb is saying the rumour is IO, Avalanche and Crytek have been acquired.

IO with massively increased funding could be interesting. Crytek are one of those companies where you wonder what they even are anymore. I feel like they've not really put out a real game since Ryse, which was 8 years ago almost.

Our Second Summer Game Fest Demo Event Coming June 15 to an Xbox Near You

Last Summer, we presented our first ever ID@Xbox Summer Game Fest Demo event as part of Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest promotion. The feedback we received from fans was amazing! As a result, we’re excited to partner with Summer Game Fest again this year to give you another opportunity to discover lots of new games coming to Xbox.

Starting June 15 and running through June 21, you’ll be able to try out over 40 demos of upcoming unreleased games for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S!

A few things to keep in mind:

These are not normal “game demos.” Typically, the demos you see in our Demo channel are created after the game is completed (or nearly completed) and represent the final version. Many of these demos are early, and some are for games that won’t be out for quite some time. Think of these as akin to “show floor demos” and not necessarily indicative of the final product. What that means is that you’ll get to experience these games early – some way early – which is awesome, but you should also note that these games will continue to evolve and be polished as they near release.

These demos will only be up on the Xbox Dashboard for a week. Some might be re-published to the Demo channel later, but many will simply evaporate at the end of the week, so make sure to check them out while you can.
The developers would love to hear what you think. Hit them up on social media or through their websites. If you like the game – tell them! If you have constructive criticism, they would love to hear that too.

We’ll announce the full list closer to June 15, but here are some highlights to set your eyes on:

Sable, Lake, The Riftbreaker, Echo Generation, Tunic - https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2021/06/10/ ... -near-you/

As I said in another thread, it's getting a little silly now but both 'sides' are just getting more entrenched, Sony moneyhats games to keep them away from Xbox and MS fight back by buying entire studios. Both are not a good thing overall but here we are.

Got Halo 2 finished off earlier this evening, I’d forgotten how good the first 2 Halo games are. Probably crack on with 3 tomorrow.

It was the first time I’d played Reach on the MCC, thought it was fantastic! I’ll play ODST next then! Was just going through them in the order on the game menu.

As you know at the End of Halo 2, the covenant went into slip space above new Mombasa, ODST at that exact time were dropping down into Mombasa and well, you can imagine it all goes to hell. Stunning game.

A slight aside, the entire concept for ODST and the game itself was created and produced by the guy who’s the executive producer of Halo Infinite right now.

Hopefully that bodes well for Infinite then (not that it’s ever looked bad of course), only heard good things about ODST
though, I’ll be looking to start it today then rather than 3.

I’ve finished halo 2 and it looks good. The combat is a bit cheap, but it’s good. Moved on to Reach, and while it’s a step back in looks because it hasnt been remastered, the overall feel and combat is a vast improvement.

I can’t quite but my finger on it, but in reach the enemies seem to have a better hit model and so if you clip shields, arms, legs or head they react differently.

Reach is great.
