I just added a game to my xbox rental list on boomerang with a release date of August 2050 so this gen is going to be a long one.

They'll really have time to super optimize the hardware by then.

2050 will also be the 25th consecutive Premier League title for Luton.

Somehow we'll still manage to be at Kenilworth Road as well.
The new stadium will get built eventually :slol: .

When you pre order a game, can you pay partly with a redeemed gift card and the rest on card? I’ve not actually preordered anything digitally before so not sure if you pay there and then or nearer release. Just realised I can get a £20 gift card through work and that’d make F1 22 a tempting £43 ish at launch……

I don't know about pre-orders, but you can do that with normal purchases. I can't see why it'd be different for a pre-order.

Thanks, reckon I’ll probably give it a go at least, takes it nearly to half price (from £79.99 to £43 ish) with the stacked 10% discounts and £20 off.

Edit, it works as you said Moggy, so I’ve gone for it and bought it already, got it downloaded so I’m hoping that will just start the auto download of the game whenever it’s made available for download. Hopefully it’ll be a good deal for £43 in the end….

Impressive setting a new Xbox record for March. Wonder if they can keep the supply going for when the big games come out this year.

Xbox 360 sold 433k in March 2011, their previous record for unit sales.

Both these consoles (so the Series X and PS5) would be doing insane numbers if the supply chain wasn’t an issue.

Finally relented and ordered myself some Panasonic Eneloop Pro batteries and a charger, tried a few times to try and sort my plug and play kit but seems like the battery is properly knackered.

A 15% drop in hardware sales value compared to the first quarter of last year... at a time when a new gen of consoles have been around for near eighteen months. This is an incredibly poor situation and the manufacturing challenges don't look like ending any time soon.

Props to Xbox for beating their best sales record set 11 years ago tbf.

The Series S seems to have been a smart decision.

Wonder what the ratio is for the S/X sales. Could be a case that the much more widely-available Series S has picked up a lot of extra sales due to the console shortages, or it's fulfilling its original aim as either a console for those wanting a soft, cheap launch into nect-gen or a second console. The allure of the console being helped by Gamepass

The X has also become more available too recently (I got mine in March) which has likely boosted figures. It's now not as hard to get a hold of as the PS5.

I've probably helped as well by buyint a Series S on a whim, when I didn't really need a second next-gen console (got it when preorders for the others sold out and because it was small enough to bring back from Japan with me) and then bloody getting a Series X when Jawa mentioned they were readily available on Amazon. I've already got the PS5 and Switch in the living room, the Series X in the office and am now going to have to contemplate putting the S in the bathroom.

It's a great little console, and I am loath to sell it, but it probably should to over the rainbow bridge (to the Trading Folder).

I’m sure the S sold more and it’s easier to get a Series X these days.

If you pay your full credit balance by your agreed end date, you will pay no interest on your Xbox Series X purchase. Should you choose not to make the payment in full before the end of your 12 month period, you may make partial payments towards the amount. Any payments that you may make towards this amount by the end of the 'Buy Now Pay Later' period will not incur any interest. Any balance left to pay after this date, will incur interest from the date of your purchase at 24.9% APR Representative (variable).

What on earth do you have downloaded on your Series X?

I can understand it if you're an S owner, as I've appreciated the breathing room the X gives, especially if you have big multiplauer or live service games like Halo, Sea of Thieves, Fallout 76 etc on there, but can't imagine actually needing more. I've filled my X up mostly, but there are at least 20 titles on there and I am only actually playing two. Cloud gaming reduces it further I'd imagine.

The default should be big enough for most, I'd imagine. It's bigger than the PS5's default storage.

You'd be future proofing it, I guess, but the Series X seems easy enough to find on its own if you don't want the extras. It was in stock on Amazon for going on two weeks last month and I think the MS store has it in from time to time now too.
