And after last week’s leaks, MS would want to have a big announcement. (About Bungie, not killing/eye consumption.)

Jeff of the Grubs said Xbox have poured a ton of money into something but did say it was NOT a studio acquisition. Most people took it as spinning up a new studio themselves...

So that's why that guy has that odd beard.
To hide all the spare eyes.

Thanks. I copied it from the official Xbox announcement.

New Xbox app (Beta) launches today on Android -

New Xbox App (Beta) on Mobile Keeps You Connected to Your Games, Friends, and Fun

The new Xbox app (Beta) has been rewritten from the ground up making it easier for all gamers to stay connected to your friends, games and fun at home or on the go, no matter what device they prefer to play on. Your friends and parties can stay with you via voice and text chat, even if they’re on console or PC. A new, unified notification inbox means you will now receive and be able to clear your notifications for new party invites, messages, and more right on your phone. The new share feature makes it easier to share game clips and screenshots from your console to your favorite gaming and social networks. Lastly, we’re unlocking Xbox remote play, formally known as Xbox Console Streaming (Preview) for all gamers in the new Xbox app (Beta)—you no longer need to be an Xbox Insider to play games installed to your console on your phone. The free Xbox app (beta) is available for you to check out today and keeps in you the game—wherever you like to play.

Cool. Been looking forward to checking it out. The interface and speed looked so much better in all the videos I've seen so far.

Just had a quick look. A bit confusing when I’m so used to the old one, but it’s clearly vastly better. I love the preview at the top of the screen, so you don’t have to click into each new release to get basic information on what the game is.

on Monday, Microsoft announced a new Xbox app that lets you stream games from your own Xbox to your own Android phone over your local network for free. There’s an iOS version coming too — and while my colleague Tom Warren originally suggested the console streaming feature probably wouldn’t come to iOS, I’m now willing to bet it will.

Microsoft now tells me the goal is actually to have full parity between the iOS and Android apps, and that Apple is already reviewing the iOS version now.

And unless Microsoft is trying to push something drastically different on iOS than the existing Android app, I expect the console streaming feature to sail through review with flying colors.

Hopefully out soon on iOS. Not ideal for MS but a perfect stop gap for me as I'm unlikely to be playing games down the park etc.

I seem to get all the insider updates despite never signing up for it. My store ui was updated about 4 weeks ago for example. I had the update before that early as well (can’t remember what it was now). Anyone here able to explain why that would be?

I has to unsubscribe to the insider thing as it meant I had to update my console every other day which took 15 minutes every bloody time.
I wouldn't have minded if it meant a funky new OS 3 times a week but most of the time strawberry float all changed after I'd downloaded and installed a 350mb file that then had to spend ages unpacking and just laughing at me in my impotent rage!

strawberry float you insider program, strawberry float you right in a wrong place like the back of the knee or something!

How do you check to see if you have been unknowingly drafted in to it? Where would you “opt out”?

I wonder if that’s why my quick resume often does not resume (because background updates have been installed).

There's an app that you download and it has all the options in that.
The xbox insider hub.
