Control: Ultimate Edition is down to £17.49 in the current sale, with the included X upgrade due early next year.

Yeah, it really sucks, the way they did that. Great bargain now, but a kick in the teeth for early customers.

But you can play as the mightiest football club of all time

Luton Town FC who once won the Milk Cup, that's right, The Milk Cup.
Barcelona never won The Milk Cup did they.

Case closed.

Same. Now watch them announce it for Game Pass next month.

Now that is tempting. That has the Alan’s Wake DLC toor right? Might have to spend some reward points.

Guess I should start posting in here now I’ve got a bit more of an interest in Xbox as my second console alongside my Switch going forward :toot: (unlike last gen where I had all 3 and didn’t have the time to invest in them all properly, so trimming one out is a good move for me!)

Still yet to try out Game Pass :fp:

For when I do though, what are some of the better, smaller games that are good for a quick blast? Re Halo MCC, can you just download the single player? Ori 2 I’ll be getting on Switch as I’ve already got the first one on there so that probably fits my brief of small, relatively short games before anyone recommends that!

Yeah, I think with MCC once you've downloaded enough so it's "READY TO START" you can launch the game and choose which bits you want to install. You can add and remove the campaign and multiplayer of each game individually so you only need to keep what you want to play.

Here’s a few: Carrion, The Gardens Between, Guacamelee 2, Hollow Knight, New Super Lucky’s Tale, The Touryst, What Remains of Edith Finch.

Some that aren’t that short, but shouldn’t be missed: Blair Witch, Hellblade, A Plague Tale, Quantum Break.

And I’m not here to run down the Switch, but you’d be kind of crazy to play Ori 2 on that instead of the Series X!

God I’d forgotten all about Hellblade! A Plague Tale looked really interesting too. I’ll probably make those two my first couple of Game Pass games :toot:

Already had my fill with Hollow Knight so not in a rush to give that another play (however good it may be). Re Ori I’ll probably end up playing them both again on the Series X anyway in the future, it’s just a really nice fit for the Switch is all

Currently just playing Conker, crazy to think this came out in 2001!

Now got Game Pass :toot: (only a 3 month pass to test the waters and it means there’s not another £120 going out my account for the gold to GPU conversion  looking at it I think I’ll be hard pressed NOT to get 3 years stacked up, there is loads on there isn’t there!)

Currently got Hellblade and A Plague Tale downloading, reckon I’ll play through these first before downloading more, really don’t want to overload my self with games

Edit, got both Ori games, Blair Witch, Edith Finch and Outer Wilds on my play later list.

While they download, back to Conker and the Arnie inspired hay!

I'd recommend Neon Abyss.

Good little 8/16 bit style platform shooter with a "just one more go" feel to it.

I’ll add it to my play later  feel this could be a common theme from now on!

Edith Finch was great. I really liked Hyperdot as a palate cleanser, it's a twin-stick shooter cum puzzle game. Unravel is a lovely platformer from EA. And I think I'll be the only person on here to recommend Ryse: Son Of Rome, which I found to be hugely underrated and has a short 6-8 hour campaign.

Also as mentioned earlier in the thread, give Demon's Tilt a go before it comes of the service at the end of the month. It's great.

+1 for Ryse. Even the unnecessary multiplayer was quite fun, when you could find a match.

Just a reminder for people to check the Rewards app, especially if you buy games digitally. I’ve just gained points worth £10 for games I’ve already bought (Valhalla, Cold War), and there are also points if you spend £40 in the current sale.
