It might be, seems like the kind of game that has drop in/ drop out co-op, but I was still in the middle of the SP tutorial so idk.
I’d feel a bit better if there was even an error message. This was just me turning the console back on, saying “ok, back to the game we were running”, and the console deciding it wasn’t actually running in the first place.
The official site actually says that all games, even BC ones, go through QR (I’d assumed it was just Series X/S titles), so it would make sense that there’s some compatibility issues, but they probably could have just kept the new behaviour for when you switch to a different game, instead of messing up the basic standby mode. I wonder is there a way to disable QR and just go back to the way it was on XB1

This isn’t even Quick Resume though, just the basic suspend/resume we’ve had since the start of last gen.
Unless Astroneer *has* Quick Resume and it failed?
No, I've had issues with games waking from sleep on Series X as well as Quick Resume problems. The best games I've played with QR are Titanfall 2 and DA: Inquisition, both of those work perfectly for me.
QR has been flawless for me over the past two weeks or so, where i have been switching between Control UE, Max - The Curse of Brotherhood and Sniper Elite 4. Dirt 5 doesnt work at all though.

Yeah, it’s been really stable for me too lately, for The Medium, Borderlands 2, Plants Vs Zombies, AC: Valhalla and The Messenger. Borderlands 2 even seems to re-establish the online session (Borderlands 1 couldn’t), though I’m playing solo, so maybe it doesn’t really.
Just managed to get a wireless head set on the MS site. Only added £30 of rewards credit before getting nervous that it would all go to gooseberry fool when i tried to checkout properly. So i still have 120,000 points that are not earmarked for anything in particular now.
I might have to get the expansion drive in a year or so because it would be rude not to. Its incredibly hard to buy software on xbox due to the ridiculous amount available on game pass at any time.
Is that tweet suggesting that your game might not be quick resumable if you dont use this feature, or simply reassuring you that by using the suspend game option it will still be nice and quick to get back in to the game due to the benefit of QR?

If you don't suspend it then the game continues to run in the background and so you will not get the full speed available from your storage to download

Right, i think i thought it was hinting that if i put my Xbox in to sleep mode whilst it was downloading the update then the QR would not work when the download had finished (and when i tried to jump back in to the game). For a minute it had me thinking that might be why it has been so unreliable over its duration, but clearly that is not the point being made in that tweet.
