I seem to have the "black screen of death" on my xbox one,
powers up with the initial green + xbox logo.
Takes its time.
Signs me in.
Then nothing.
Anyone got a resolution for this? Ive tried the simplie ones in;

Might be a power supply issue. Mine got very cranky when it was failing. Have you got an external hard drive attached? If so, try disconnecting it and reboot to see if it can manage it without the extra power drain of the hard drive.

I think ive managed to get it back by doing the factory settings update. - sync button + reject disc button then power. What i didnt realise was that the sync button is a real button, unlike the soft touch buttons that are ht reject and power.

I thought this specific problem was fixed today. I had not even heard of it until I saw an article about a fix confirmed by Microsoft earlier this morning.

Yeah - on reddit there seems to have been a few topics on this recently.
Looks like MS strawberry floated up with a recent update that bricked some consoles. I was thinking of buying a new series S. I think MS did it on purpose.

After never getting the free £5 credits when they’ve been offered before, I’ve just had a message giving me £8 for participating in Summer Spotlight (on top of the reward points I got). Nice little boost towards the £36 free credit I’m trying to save up to get the Forza Horizon 5 upgrade without paying. Might want to check your messages to see if you got one, if you bought anything in the Summer Spotlight promotion.

Waiting for the Xbox official headset to be back in stock at Argos as I’ve got about £30 in nectar points I can knock off the £90 price, problem is it’s not been in stock for collection or delivery for ages, unless I want to travel 117 miles that is
Getting a little more into Fable Anniversary though after another hour with it, does anyone remember if the difficulty ramps up much? Money doesn’t seem awfully easy to come by considering how much some stuff costs so I’m probably just going to try and ride out the starting gear till I get beat a bit too often.
Edit, really getting into Fable now, got more money than I know what to do with after reading about the buying/selling exploit, bought the plate armour (think it’s the second best one in the game? Defence wise anyway. I need 25 silver keys to get the best one but think that might be a job for a guide when I’m nearer the end) and a better sword and bow. Currently just hit 9 hours, not really sure how far I am in it though!

Is the Series S meant to be slow with the downloads? Got a friend who's on 200mb connection but it's taken him 2 hours to get half of *checks email* er, Halo 2.
