£5 was around 5,500 points up until Monday and was 4,410 in the last sale

If you don’t need the credit now, I’d recommend waiting for the “Microsoft gift card” to go on offer. It’s still sitting at around 5,500 and is usually the next thing to be discounted after the Xbox gift card offer is over.

also to note these gift cards have a 3 month expiry - so that’s another reason to not spend your points if you have nothing on the horizon

You can spend it on anything on the Microsoft store... consoles, laptops, subscriptions, games, apps, download add-ons etc

Thanks for that. I think i remember reading that the Microsoft one and Xbox one are essentially interchangeable in their application. Is that accurate? Can i use the Xbox gift card for all the same things or are some things gated from its use?
