Yup, that's it. If you don't have any kind of sub they do an offer of £1 per month until the service officially launches, which is pretty darn good as well. Of course, I was already stacked pretty long with previous deals, so I took advantage of the combination offer instead.

My Game Pass is paid to the end of this year, but because of the Live price increase I bought an extra 12 months before CDkeys put the price up, so that runs out at the end of next year. So I guess the combined sub deal will mean I’m all paid up until mid-2021. It’s a hell of an offer. Thanks for the heads-up, heaty.

Yeah, it's pretty well hidden. There's a section where you can help with various betas and technical tests etc. I think it might be called 'insider content' or something like that. It's at the bottom of the page there.

You might not be in the beta ring. You have to have given enough feedback on the previews to reach “XP level 5”.

Check here:
Launch the Xbox Insider Hub on your Xbox One console.
On the main landing page, select Insider content.
Under System, select Xbox One Update Preview.
Select Join or Manage.
Choose a Preview ring from the available selections.

Question RE: Halo Wars

I noticed they have a Definitive edition of the original Halo Wars on XBO. I have the original game on X360, if I put that into the XBO will that either auto upgrade to the definitive release or allow me to get it at a reduced price?

If not, where is the cheapest place to pick up a code for Halo Wars Definitive Edition?

They're separate games so no upgrade option.

Halo Wars: DE (and Halo Wars 2) are in Game Pass which is currently £1 for 3 months for people who aren't currently subscribed.

It’s occasionally reduced to half price, but it’s also included in the Ultimate edition of Halo Wars 2, if you were interested in getting that too.

But, yeah, it’s also in Game Pass, if you want to sign up for that.

I should give that Gamepass deal a go as I really want to try Sea of Thieves as well.

You can get 12 months for about £22 worth of Microsoft reward points if anyone needs a top up. Comes as a redeemable code too unlike their wallet credit which is automatically applied to your account and with a 3 month expiry date.

Message Requests
