I thought they had announced that controllers, including design lab, would be getting discounts on Black Friday. But I could be wrong on that.
Thanks. I can find mention of this for the US but not here. Hopefully it comes here as well. It seems oddly quiet on the controller front this black Friday.
I don't get it, didn't Microsoft get rid of MS points? And if you can £5 of MS store credit for a third off can you then spend that on the discount Game Pass?

That's 4410 reward points. You get them by doing Xbox challenges and Bing searches, that kind of thing.
There's some terrific Xbox console deals out there at the moment.
My sister has bought a pack for one of my nephews: Xbox One S console, two official controllers, Forza Horizon 4 and Spyro the Dragon for £199 at Amazon. The games aren't ones he necessarily would have chosen - he will just play Fortnite! - but that's still a great deal for the console and controllers.
I bought an XBox One X over the weekend. Because of course, I did.
£389.99,1TB, from Game, brand new, with Forza Horizon 4 and Forza 7 download codes. I'm a weak man, but - damn - it's nice to see so many of my old 360 games given a new and significantly improved life on the XB1X. The differences are instantly noticeable, across the board. FFXIII trilogy is - naturally - absolutely beautiful but almost every back-compat 360 game disk I've (so far) popped into the system benefits from running on the XB1X's much more superior architecture.
I feel that in a funny way the XB1X is the 360 we all wanted back in the day. Gone are all the struggles with frame rates, the poor AA, the loss of detail. Most 360-era games now just pop right out at you, as if to say 'See? Here I was, all along, just waiting for enough CPU and GPU grunt to show you what I can really do!'. It's frankly very impressive.

I picked up both the Game Pass and XB Gold on one-month trials - £1 a piece. I'll see how I get on with them over the next month and decide if I'm continuing the subscriptions.
Must say, so far I'm enjoying the XB1X experience. Pretty damn easy to set-up (assuming you have your XBox 360 account details to hand - luckily I did) and I love the way the system recognises my entire 360 history - including DLC previously purchased for all titles. Just couldn't have been easier to download. So far, so good.
At the very least Gamepass has some exclusives you may have missed out on: Sunset Overdrive Dead Rising 3 Quantum Break State of Decay 2 Sea of Thieves Gears of War 4 All the Halo's etc.
