I presume MS's thinking is any more than 5mins you may as well use the built in broadcast option.

I'll tell you what I don't like, I took this pic from DAYZ the other day:

I made it my background wallpaper but it's pointless because of all the onscreen gubbins. :x

If you rent a film on xbox, do you get more than one watch during the 48hr period or is it just one watch then it deletes itself?

As much as you want. Plus, the 48 hours only starts counting down once you start watching for the first time.

Like most online rentals, you can watch over and over again during the rental period.

You may remember I had to get my Xbox replaced by Microsoft due to its (I reckon) hard drive going bonkers.

The process was relatively short I suppose and the new Xbox arrived just a couple of days later, and it's a simple job of putting the broken one in the packaging that the new one arrives in, putting the included address label on the box and sending it back (via UPS).

All good.... Except my new Xbox is a bit noisy :(

It's hardly ear-punishing, but the old one was silent, and the replacement very much isn't (although does have the advantage of actually working, in it's defence).

It's hard to describe the noise it makes, but this might do it; the first game I played on the new one was Assassin's Creed Odyssey - and I thought 'blimey, I reckon they've overdone it with the environmental cricket noises'.

It's a really high pitched, oscillating whine.

Should I keep this and get used to it (or ignore it - I generally play with high volume or headphones), or should I go for another replacement?

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

Go for another replacement, I've never hears a whisper from mine and I'm on it all the time.

For me it is! I press the Xbox button then one of the other two but I sometimes just get the menu screen, and what you record is so imprecise. Also, I've been into the options and can't find the option to set long record times just short clips. I'm not hating, I'm just sharing my frustrations.

Settings>Preferences >Broadcast & Capture.

You couldn’t find that? Hmmm...

BID0 wrote:Not sure what Photek is talking about, you're right Venom you are unable to set long record times. From memory when you have a 4K resolution you're stuck to about 30 seconds of recording. If you sacrifice the resolution then it allows for a slightly longer option.

Hans Bubby wrote:I think the highest you can record on a lower resolution is 5 minutes. Compared to the built in Share options on PS its crap.

So I'm not crazy! Photek man, ask one of your PS4 owning friends to show you game capture and you will see how easy it can be.

Don't you need an external hard drive to increase recorded footage times or something?

I'm sure I remember reading this somewhere.

Do you often contemplate the complexity of life?

Most modern wired or wireless USB keyboards and mice will also work on the Xbox One, so you don’t have to pick up Razer’s $249 combo to play.

Those keys look awkwardly high. Is that the norm on gaming keyboards?

Ooh, Celeste is a great pick. WRC6 is a nice freebie, too.

I am very very happy to see Celeste coming to games with gold as its something I was thinking of buying....

Lots of people are kicking off that the Lara Croft game was free before like 4 years ago though, cant say I am worried as im just so happy with Celeste I dont care.

I don't get why they have repeats though, there are so many classic XBLA games they could give away instead and not piss people off.

Same here. In fact, I planned to buy it over Christmas, so I've saved some there.

Could be worse. Just think of all the repeats they've had to endure in Japan, every time a mildly controversial game has to be replaced.
